Gohara not being treated well by Charlotte.

Bautista up to .229 now at AAA. I think we see him soon

Man - Gohara must be banged up still or just needs a lot of time to recover.

We are going to get another full year of control on him. I'd be surprised if we see him before August at this rate. Something is going on. Guy blitzed through the minors last year.

He's only thrown 14.1 innings this season so far. I'll be more concerned if he still struggling after he gets to 20-22 ip

I think he just needs more time to settle. This is still basically Spring Training for him.

I think 46.1 IP before I start worrying at all.

If you're looking for a little bright spot...

Gohara 1st 2 innings...
6 h 5 er 3 bb 2 k

Last 2 innings...
1 h 0 er 0 bb. 1 k

Hopefully he is getting himself together some

I'm not concerned yet. He's fat AF, so I can't imagine that's helping the process, but he's also young and has to get himself back to where he's comfortable.

good bit to go before i worry about gohara too much. he's obviously been hurt and is just getting back into it. if he's healthy he'll be fine in time.

Does Bautista have any sort of duration/date-dependent opt-out in his split contract?

He’s clearly not ready for MLB PAs, but I also doubt he wants to stay in Gwinnett another month (or more, or forever). And he reportedly had other, in-certain-respects-better options than the Braves.

I don't remember seeing any mentioned - pretty sure most talk was that AA told him he'd "give him a chance and promote him quickly if he proved himself", but don't recall seeing any deadlines.
