Per MLBTR: "The Braves have designated infielder Chase d’Arnaud for assignment, according to David O’Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution (via Twitter). Atlanta has summoned outfielder Lane Adams from Triple-A to take the roster spot."

If someone else shared this in another thread, just disregard. I just wanted to post a thread on this just in case, esp. since I like Lane Adams and had called for him to be on our bench since early Spring Training.

Or was stashing Lane Adams in AAA for a month in favor of d'Arn part of some genius master plan I am incapable of understanding?

Hopefully he sticks as the RHed hitting 4th OFer the Braves need. His minor league splits suggest he might work out in that role.

Most hilarious aspect of the Adams call up? Waiting until now probably gives the Braves an extra year of control over Adams.

So they properly managed the clock of a fringe 4th OFer (probably on accident), but couldn't quite figure it out for a potential franchise cornerstone.
