We are going to curb stomp them. I think the fish social media sent a tweet out saying why we you making the Best aves mad before our series. It was funny and appropriate so I gave them props for that.

This. All of it.

Putting an active umpire in charge of replays to overturn calls that their brothers in blue might have missed is the problem. The same thing happens in SEC football, with similar results. Umps/refs are going to protect their own, integrity of the game be damned.

There is zero reason why an official needs to be the one to determine replays. They can't overturn penalty calls (football), balls and strikes or other judgment calls. The things that can be overturned (fair/foul, safe/out) can be determined just as well by a sports writer, a former player/coach, or even a fan who has watched more than a game or two.
