What happened to Lindsey Graham??

Graham is Captain Louis Renault from Casablanca just without the redemption at the end. Not evil, just self interested and without a moral center. "I blow with the wind, and the prevailing wind happens to be from Vichy."

It's local politics.

There has always been an opening with the base to challenge Graham from the right. He's not personally all that popular with the tea party / all in trump voter type.

What Lindsay has always been very good at is leveraging his incumbency advantage by doing enough favors, getting enough key machine support, and tacking far enough right at election time to eliminate serious primary challengers.
.........

Being vocal in opposition to Trump opened up a huge lane for a primary challenge and all it required was Trump's support to make it probably fatal.

Opening an investigation into the Biden Family huh ?

Let’s talk about Andrew, one of the longest-serving members of the Trump administration (since March 2017).

Age: 31
Job: Coordinating professional athletes visiting Trump.
Salary: $90,700 a year
Qualification: He golfs, and his father is Rudy Giuliani.

Where is the outrage?

I mean Nunes has already done some legwork flying out to Ukraine to meet with Shokin. There must be something to it.

"I will do my best to explain. It is a mistake to think there is inconsistency between the McCain era And Trump Era. Graham is Essentially a pilot fish. They eat parasites and live off the detritus of larger fish. McCain was a noble shark who sustained his pilot fish. This did not make the Pilot fish noble though, just well fed. Sometimes Pilot fish move on. They are not loyal or faithful. Just hungry. Today he lives off of the vile detritus of his new host, Trump. He is indifferent to the disgustingness. He just wants his little piece".

There is literally nothing noble about John McCain. All of his military service was with the intention of using it as a campaign ad. As soon as he got home he dumped his disabled wife and married a beer heiress who funded his campaign. Being that his fortune came from beer he refused himself on Bill's related to alcohol but refused to refuse himself on marijuana which is a product that threatened his fortune. He was a fierce opponent of even medical marijuana even when confronted by people who desperately needed it. Then he died from a disease that if treated with medical marijuana adds on average a year to that persons life. He died literally 1 year before the Mueller report came out. If he didnt spend his whole life fighting against medicine he most likely would have lived to see it.

Graham is only 2 pts ahead of his challenger in early polling.

Would be amazing if somehow Graham and McConnell were unseated. lol.

So he went to Navy school, learned to fly, got shot down in Vietnam, and spent 6 years as a POW, all so he could marry a rich girl and run for the House of Representatives? That might be funny if it weren't so unfair, not to mention blatantly at odds with the history.

Whether he was a bit of a numbnuts or not, he refused to accept preferential treatment and became an American hero in Hanoi Hilton. He returned in '73 and after about a year of rehab began training young Navy pilots. After a few years he became the Navy's liason to the Senate in '77. It was likely here that his interest in politics began because during the Vietnam War he, like more soldiers there, had a severe dislike for politicians and thought they were all idiots. He met Cindy in '79 got divorced and remarried in '80. He retired from the Navy in '81 and ran for the House in 82.

As for his political career, picking Sarah Palin, was a Trumpian move that wasn't quite ready, planted him firmly in the enemy camp for me. He redeemed himself some with his final Senate vote.
