When we bring up Camargo, acuna, and gohara

It's the same premise as getting up and walking away from the blackjack table when you're up big, versus sticking around and giving it all back to the house.

The Braves have received a pretty nice, unexpected benefit from Flaherty and Tucker thus far. They don't need to give back all that "house money" before moving on to a smarter alternative.

Sadly it's that thinking that allows subpar players who start out hot (Flaherty and Tucker for example) to continue playing until they suck enough to where their season stats are bad and 'need' benching.

Fredi did this a lot, both with playing time and batting position in the lineup. The problem was that it took ~50 PAs to show the guy was no longer “hot”, so that was 50 suboptimal PAs for the Braves.

He's not up because he is playing terribly in AAA. There isn't any other real explanation. It's not about other players, it is about him.

As he continues to play terribly in AAA, the sample size of him playing terribly in AAA continues to grow. At some point, that sample isn't going to be that much smaller than the relatively small sample of his doing well in AAA.

Or he'll do what you have guaranteed that he will do and totally dispel this small sample nonsense with a monstrous breakout that will then convince the front office that he has found his rhythm and is ready to take the next step.

Either way, it will work itself out.

My post had nothing to do with Acuna. But while you brought him up then yes Acuna would make the team better right now. Not that it really matters. He made it past the cutoff to gain the extra year and that was my only real concern that involved him this year.

So you’re saying Acuna will either be good, or he won’t.

Excellent take on the subject.

I think Tucker has been a little unlucky the past few games that he has been struggling. He has been hitting some balls pretty hard, but hitting them right at people. I'm not ready to come off the idea that he might be a solidly above average bat.

I don't resort to direct personal attacks like this.

Lol.

You get personal at the drop of a dime.

And then you get a persecution complex when it's returned.

This happens about once every 2-3 weeks.

Utilize the ignore list. I realize it kind of sucks on vBulletin, but it sure as hell beats this constant inane sniping.

You're still mad about being corrected on the attendance aren't you?

LOL, I'll be sure to quote this when final attendance figures are available.

It's adorable you think you've proven me wrong about attendance, but as usual, we will see who is right.

If I were your boss, you'd be gone in less than a week. Because I can get 98% of the genius with 100% less bull**** somewhere else.

I think its precious that you think that anything that happens from here forward can change that you were wrong about the thing you said. But keep me updated on your progress. Just don't spend too much time on it.

If you were my boss the company would be in big trouble.

You would never be put in charge of employees making six figures, so that was a silly hypothetical.
