When you do everything right and still get shot.

Being in the same ballpark as a type of natural disaster is... good?

Some more anecdotal evidence for weso.

3 of my cop friends told me he should be fired and prosecuted, easily.

Cop says through union he took the job to save lives, and he doesn't like people painting him in the wrong picture and that it was a split-second decision.

Dawg, that standoff was going on for longer than a split-second, and Kinsey explained it several times loudly why you shouldn't shoot.

Of course, the underlying issue here which scares me more, is the neighbors that called the police claiming the autistic guy had a gun. Definitely no subconscious racial profiling there.

So if I mistakenly shoot at an unarmed cop because I feared for my life I too would not go to jail, right? Both the caller and this cop should be charged with attempted murder. At the very least the cop needs to have his gun taken from him and be denied private gun ownership.

Didn't guy go to jail for shooting cops that had a warrantless invasion and they entered the wrong house?

He wasn't convicted but he still spent time in jail and is out a **** load of money in lawyer fees. If he had to depend on a public defender he would be on death row. Even if the public defender win your going to spend atleast a year in jail awaiting trial.
