Let me explain how you post when defending police.
Thug/whatever BLACK do something wrong, then police did what they do.
The first thing you will say, if the black person did not do the crime, he would not have gotten shot, or selling loosies, orhe wouldn't have been choked out. This tells me you don't mind what the cop did because the person committed a crime. Yes you came back and said the cop was wrong but you really didn't say it, you were appeasing others. Thethe on the other hand came out and said it immediately, he did not go to the black victim card, he was crook what do you expect will happen when committing a crime.
If you see the same schit over and over by a poster, you pretty much know how they feel about things. Unlike Thethe who went to lengths to mend a fence with me, but I extended the olive branch first. I am first to admit if pissed someone off and he was pissed at me for accusing him. I am not accusing you of anything, I just think you defend police way too much to the point if they do something wrong, you want to make an excuse for them doing what they are doing. It is nothing wrong with it. Garmel jumping on our poster on things we see on here was wrong, period. Everyone has their own opinions and conclusions and I agree with Okie, some of you say things he said, a lot of us seeing it but you want to be so "in" I am not bias, or racist or whatever. But it was not necessary, it did not give him the right to choke out Garner. He never resisted before and he basically told them to leave him alone. The very first thing you did was take the onus off the cop and blame the black dude. Did he commit a crime? yes, everyone of us commit them everyday except you because you ride a bike. Do you know why I apologized to Thethe, he jumped on the cop, he didn't say anything what the black guy did, you did. Your first impulse is to defend them ALL THE TIME. I don't defend anyone on first impulse regardless of your color, your position, even though most claim I am racist, but at least I look at the situation, then when facts come out, then I will assess. I never defended Brown and said Wilson was correct what he did to defend himself, but his overall common sense was horrible and he lost his job because of it. You defending everything he did even though he broke procedures because again you went back to MB for provoking. Anytime a cop does something wrong, you look at the person they are apprehending. Why don't you get pulled over 12 times for DWB for not doing anything wrong, seeing your kids terrified from that ordeal, you will think twice if you can trust a cop and I don't. Try explaining that to a four year old. If they pull me over, I am scared schitless because one false move, my kids can lose their dad, regardless if I had not done anything or not. They had no business pulling weapons out on me because they thought I kidnap people, but you are white so you wouldn't understand.
Like I said, unless I do something wrong, they leave me alone after we had a discussion. No more stops, no more pull overs, nothing like that in over two years. And yes, like everyone here, I don't do the speed limit, I do California stops, even had a headlight out and a brake light, they will not pull me over. I wave and smile to them, sarcastic as heck when I do it.

OK first of all, sorry I had to go to town and do some stuff AND I had to actually do some work when I get home. :/
And had you gone a different direction with that previous comment we could have maybe had a discussion about it. Don't sweat it though, I say stuff too sometimes that doesn't look as good after it's typed and on the screen as I thought it did at the time. No worries there. I have also learned by my past 7 months or so what's really important in life and I've also learned that while I won't back down when I know something is the truth, I also don't ever go around looking for trouble or enemies. I feel like we wind up with too many of those without actually looking for them.
I realize I'm not going to convince you of anything and you sure as hell aren't going to convince me, but despite the fact that Faux, talk radio, and the far right websites (not to mention most members of organized religion) tell you ad nauseum that conservative are the only ones who "get it" they're the only ones who "are truly patriotic Americans" and so on. I know this because I used to be a BIG TIME Reagan Republican. I was even more sold out and brainwashed for "the cause" than any of you and I realize that's saying something. I know all of their tricks and their tactics cause they used to use them on me.
This is for you and/or any other conservatives who might choose to read this. I realize it won't matter to any of you now, but who knows maybe some day, when these slime balls turn on you like they did on me maybe it'll help. Think back for a moment to my posts, since I've only been back posting a couple of days that won't be too much of a search back through time. Did I only criticize conservatives? Did I criticize anyone else? If I"m pointing out the faults of all sides why did you take my words to negatively? Are you THAT sensitive? Is it that conservatives are just what I say they are and those words hurt? I didn't see any Dems take offense to anything I said, hell sturg didn't even get pissed off and he's way more dedicated to his beliefs than you are. Is it that conservatives are naturally susceptible to the "we're under attack" strategy? Think about it, when was the last time any right wing show, segment, article, etc., didn't use that strategy to pull you in?
Think about this too, you didn't just take offense at something I said, you read something negative about conservatives, I don't even know if you saw anything else I posted or not, and you went ape ****. Now I've already said it's cool, we're cool, etc., so I'm only telling you this to try and help, you saw where someone dared to criticize the conservative party and you went immediately into attack mode, into Glenn Beck, bat****, pitbull attack mode. Why was that? Is it because you've already been classically conditioned to do so? Ask Steak Sauce, I'm disagreed with him numerous times and he's never once acted like that. Are you guys being played by the Repubs?
I"ll be happy to debate, argue, yell and scream (via keyboard of course) even throw down if that's what you guys want/need but I'm not going to not tell what I see to be the truth just because someone doesn't want to hear it. I do assume you'll give me a little extra time to catch my breath though, stamina doesn't come back over night you know.
As for me saying you always take the side of the police, rather than me show you something you said that you can try and spin or justify, show me where you said (and after it was all said and done) that you said the police were wrong. In Ferguson there's little doubt that the cop didn't follow the protocols like he should have. Now with that said if a 300 lb guy is coming towards me I'm going to shoot him too, everyone has the right to defend himself so until new evidence comes out (if ever) that things didn't go down like the last "official version" says then I don't really like what he did, but he certainly has the right to shoot someone who's attacking him.
As for the Garner guy, how many conservatives on here initially said that didn't look right but after all the right wing people and sites weighed in changed their tune to, they were just trying to subdue him. Dude there were 6 of them, they held him down and choked him to freaking death and if you call what he was doing resisting arrest then WTF?????????????????
Anyway, just whatever dude, like me, hate me, ignore me, or whatever but if I think your side is right, I"m going to say so, if I think your side is wrong, same thing.

Dude, you have nothing on me, people will tell you I will totally go off and when I do, I don't hold back. I got that side from my mom a Dean, a teacher who dealt with thugs on a daily basis. She was the Sgt Emery type of get in your face and use f-bombs to you like it was everyday language and if you are the parent, expect the worse. Some of you cannot handle someone like that and probably think why didn't she ever get fired? Put it this way, two replaced hips and a knee, she retired and they begged her to come back. She would really scared the schit out of you if you pissed her off. I am her son, I WAS terrified of making her mad. She wouldn't physically hurt us as we were bigger and can absurb any Adrian Peterson type whippings, she knew that didn't work, but she knows how to make you feel like an inch tall. My brother and I laugh about the things our mom punished us on. Too bad you can't do that today.

Considering some of the schidt I've seen them say to you, yeah I'd say you were awfully nice to them. Like I've said before I haven't posted since right around the time I started my radiation treatments this past Summer but I read these forums almost every day. The only exceptions would be some of the looooooooonnnnnngggg threads where some of our conservative friends go on and on and on about how the police are right about everything and can absolutely be trusted to be judge, jury, and executioner, how the system itself isn't racist, only the members of the system (LMAO) and how it's up to blacks to be the bigger person and maybe just maybe eventually the racist whites in this country (and in the police force) will start to treat them with actual equality (ROTFLMAO). Yeah, I can't possibly imagine why you might get a little testy about that stuff. OK, I have to rest for a while now, too much lol-ing. Besides the physical fatigue and brain fog probably the one thing I've noticed the most since radiation (and this is going to cause widespread disbelief here) is that my BS-ometer is even more hair triggered than it used to be.
Yeah, you keep letting them all have it, the Dems, and the Repubs, and as for the Libertarians, that's another can of worms. I like sturg, always have, but I'm not sure most people actually know what a Libertarian is these days. The Kochs call themselves Libertarians, but only because Monarchists isn't a registered party in this country right now.

The fact he was lied to is really beside the point. Let me play captain obvious and say that in America there are 2 different justice systems -- one for the haves and the ones for the have nots. These two, be they right or wrong on the specifics, will big picture support the have nots. Over the course of their careers as activists on individual causes they will get hoodwinked once in a while. The time difference between Tawana Brawley and the Duke Boys was well over 20 years.

Couldn't agree more, even Al used to make more sense and be worth more than he is now, I guess he figured out the money angle a while back. Jesse is even worse IMO and I actually blame him more because he used to stand side by side with a great man and apparently learned nothing. You want real value in Civil Rights, check out MLK, Malcolm X (I know many don't like him but you should all check out his whole life's story before you make up your mind) probably my personal favorite, Rosa Parks and my old school favorite Harriet Tubman.

As for the others you may be right, but I don't see Al or Jesse as anything other than a charlatan. Just my opinion. I did already say that while Dr. Cornel West my be a bit far out for my personal tastes I do basically like him. Who knows maybe Jesse and Al were both sincere when they first started out, before the big money came along and they lost their way. To me though they both definitely have done that.
As for baseball cards, I thought you of all people would appreciate that possibility.
