A lot of difference between modern liberals and the liberals of yesteryear. I just can't see a modern liberal president giving the orders to destroy two major cities with atomic weapons.

You are too much of an Ideolog to look past your own arrogance. This has been a battle for centuries and it was only a matter of time before these groups started to take advantage of modern technology. So continue to think every day that this is resulting from the big bad USA. I've already agreed with the points that we have made mistakes that has added fuel to the fire but your complete ignorance in understanding that this fire has been burning for centuries is beyond stupid.

I have read countless amounts of articles about this issue as its one of the few issues in this world that I feel strongly about (climate change and how we are all subject to the power of the wealthy). I know the history but the types of articles you love to post never acknowledge that while we have had unfortunate intervention that has backfired in a lot of ways these people are sitting on oceans of oil and would have gotten to this point already.
We are dealing with people that resent the fact that we allow our women to think independently (THE HORROR). We are dealing with people that resent any form of education as if it were the workings of the devil. We are dealing with people that want to force all of us to pray and live the way they want.
Well I say, HELL NO to that. I love the way I get to live now and I don't feel bad for any deaths of those that want to impose this type of militant lifestyle against me. So you can just sit here and say, "IT'S OUT FAULT!" all you want. This type of mentality is NOT the result of the US or any Western Power. Its a system of beliefs and ideals that are still stuck in the middle ages.

I don't think you have quite grasped yet that groups like ISIS and al Queda were spawned almost directly from US involvement.
