Will the Mid-Terms be a Disaster for the Democrats?

Don't most two term presidents fall really out of favor late in their second term?

Absolutely.

That he has fallen out of favor with voters is not surprising, as it happens with pretty much every two term pres. I think it's more surprising(at least to some) that he has fallen below Clinton(who was impeached in his second term) and Bush(who is what most liberals believe to be the worst president ever).

How is it shocking? Politics is more partisan than they've ever been before. 100% of republicans hate Obama, and if a healthy number of dems are disappointed in him, that leads to bigger numbers. I don't think 100% of dems hated bush and I think more Rs were all proud to be murican.

Count me in the fully disillusioned camp. After watching the Georgia gubernatorial and Senate debates online, I want shove spoons up my nose repeatedly and dig all of my brain out.

The most lulz-worthy line of the night had to be the assertion that we're actually funding education like we should be in this state.

I don't hate POTUS. So, you are wrong.

I'm just going with Nate Silver's figures. I learned my lesson. He's at close to 60/40. So I'll say 60ish% chance the republicans win.

Silver on TV last night said that is what the numbers tell him and others. But he doesnt feel as confident in the numbers as he has in the past. Unreliable information due to outdated/changing polling procedures. Social media being the #1 means of interpersonal communication now a days instead of telephones or even face to face has drastically changed the methodology of polling. And this election has ushered in new untried methods.
Found that interesting

Having said that will be surprised when (D) holds the Senate and makes gains in the House.
Sarah Palin is winnin. Hope that makes everyone feel a little more warmer and a little more fuzzier.
If you hit a rock enough times, it will eventually crack

Not sure I follow your last paragraph 57. Are you suggesting the Dems will hold the Senate and make gains in the House or that you'd be surprised if they do?
