Williams Perez to AAA

I'd like to see Stubbs or Francoeur cut for it, but I think they'll let Mallex get more AAA time.

If the organization thinks Ruiz is ready, I'd like to see Big River take over 3B and consider shifting Adonis to a corner spot. Mallex stays up until Inciarte is ready then goes back to AAA until such time as we figure out how things shake out during the trading deadline period.

IMO Mallex needs to play. So if he is in MLB then he needs to play. If Inciarte is going to play CF, then I think he needs to go to AAA.

Unless inciarte is going to be traded, mallex isn't playing cf or shouldn't. Why not let mallex play LF?

I am hoping Weber will be replacing Perez next time out. I am as high on Blair as anyone but it wouldn't be wise to start his clock now in a throwaway season. But if Bowman is correct that Braves brass have told Fredi to manage each game like game 7 of the World Series I must really question what they're doing and add that I don't trust them to do what's wise if such is the case.

With pitchers I operate under the impression that the clock has already started, that clock being health.

I would rather Blair shoot his good bullets in the big leagues than in Gwinnett, but maybe that's just because I'm jaded.

I agree. And the learning curve from AAA to Majors is far different. So I'd rather he take his hits here like Folty and wisler last year. The extra year doesn't matter to me if we can't afford them later on anyways.

I just think pitchers need to learn at the majors more than position players who can develop and not be thrown in.

He can learn in the Majors either way, just later this season and that also keeps him from being a super two. No need to rush him up now when it's best we lose anyway as that gets us a better draft pick.

I don't know if it will be Weber or Kelly, but it was nice to see Weber get a win the other night. He pitched well enough in three of his five starts last year to notch a win, but the offense wasn't there. He's taken the long road to get to the bigs. Heavy ground ball tendency and he won't strike out a ton of guys, so who knows. Has to keep the ball in the park and he appears to be pretty good at doing that.

No one's rushing him. He'll be 24 in a month and is ready, no reason to delay it.

It'll be Blair.

In fact, Weber had four very good starts - like, of the seven inning variety - and one stinker. I'd be spending a whole lot more time figuring out that Weber cannot help us than bringing up Folty.

I don't mind that we disagree on waiting on Blair, but must you always state your opinion as an absolute? If so, don't be surprised by my lack of interaction with you.

Agreed. Weber deserves a shot and IMO this is the time to give him one. But it doesn't seem like they're considering it, so it will probably be Blair. I'd still wait a little longer to keep from super two since I am so high on Blair. But I doubt the Braves brass do that, esp. after the Bowman report that they told Fredi to basically manage each game like a playoff game.
