Willson Contreras thinks it's okay to make yourself look like an Ass

He said he was talking to the umpire lol. Everybody knows he was talking to Flowers. Huge douche move. I have a feeling that Mac would have went absolutely nuts if he had been catching.

Braves are looking like bitches right now. Donaldson spazzing out a few weeks ago and now Flowers crying about something. He said he was talking to the umpire in this video, but later on said he said something to Flowers. Who knows the actual details, but who cares. Baseball is the tough guy sport where words hurt your feelings.

First, could you not say the exact same about Contreras? It looks like he got so upset simply because Flowers smiled at him while he himself was crying about calls.

Second, please, like baseball is the only sport where this happens. This happens in football, it happens in basketball, it happens in soccer, it happens in tennis. This happens in life, period. People get ticked in traffic. People get ticked out in public. Somebody says something, the other person doesn't like what they said, and it starts a dumb fight. I don't know why people act like when baseball players do it, it's all about the 'unwritten rules' and 'being a tough guy'. It's just life. It's dumb, but it happens all the time everywhere.

it's honestly just niners being his usual dumb self. nothing he says makes sense, follows any actual logic, or frankly means anything.

I feel like baseball players are bigger babies about this kind of thing than any other athletes.

I enjoyed the whole incident very much.

Sad that Flowers got punked in this game, but it was very entertaining.

Big deal over nothing, just like JD's silliness.

"Who are you looking at?"...seriously?

Just dudes getting worked up and arguing, something every guy has done a few times in his life then looks back on and realizes he was being dumb.

Its honestly no different than the your behavior on this board as a grown man... you just get to hide behind your keyboard

I'm not advocating going back to the Bad Old Days, but when guys used to do what Contreras did, they paid for it with a mouthful of dirt later in the game. I'm all for legitimate style and showmanship, but just tossing around verbal trash is so weak. Internal policing has simply vanished from the game.

Every young man acts like he can do whatever he wants until some other guy shows him he can't. Whether that happens at age 6 getting dusted up by another kid, or at age 24 when your teammates tell you something is unacceptable, or at age 60 when you go to jail for lifelong crimes, it happens to every man eventually.

It's just the way it is, and nobody has shown Contreras any differently yet.

Young guys act like young guys, just as they always have.
