Show hits the road on Monday. All relevant moves and discussions can go here. Not just Braves.

The Nation’s Capital will become the center of the baseball world over the next week as the winter meetings get underway Sunday in Washington.

The meetings run through Thursday morning, concluding with the Rule 5 draft, and will play out against a backdrop of labor peace as the owners and players agreed on a new five-year labor deal on Wednesday night.

Teams looking to make a big score on the free-agent market will find sluggers in Edwin Encarnacion and Jose Bautista, quality producers in Dexter Fowler, Justin Turner and Ian Desmond and proven closers in Mark Melancon, Kenley Jansen and Aroldis Chapman. The trade market features a big name in former National League MVP Andrew McCutchen.

Would be absolutely floored to see Allard traded. He's the best pitching prospect we have IMO.

Yeah, I don't expect allard to be traded either. On the other hand, I have a feeling Newcomb and inciarte will be moved even though I hate it

Lots of conflicting reports on whether Allard is all he's hyped up to be. Seems Touki, Anderson, Fried, and Newcomb may all higher ceilings.

Haven't seen those. I know fried has helium right now and touissants cwiling is absurdly high but I think Allard I'd still the guy.

Not really ZB. A few scouts told me that they think barring injury, he's the best we got. And one said it's not close. At a Rome game, a guy said if it wasn't for Touissant's brilliant curve, Allard would be as untouchable as anyone in our system. I honestly like Fried just a little more. Fried, Allard, Toussaint, Anderson. I'd have to be knocked over to deal any from that bunch.

Not sure I'm reading that correctly- Touki's curveball makes Allard less untouchable?

YUGE week coming up for the Braves. We need to win everything, trades and free agents. Not only do we need to win those negotiations, we need to win them bigly.

Very excited in anticipation of seeing the Braves become great again. It is a thrilling moment.

Negative! Allard out performed him at a much younger age in the same league!

Fried was coming back from a significant injury. A little rust was too be expected. But you just can't teach the sort of talent and command that Fried possesses. For my money, Fried is the top dog.
