One interesting thing is that Folty threw one of his best games of the year last year against the White Sox in Chicago. Maybe he impressed them a lot and they might overvalue him a bit.

I think I say yes to that. The only person that really hurts me is Albies. Allard could be awesome, but I think we have plenty more guys. Folty hurts too.

Well, yeah. The only thing with Folty is that timeline wise it is better. Folty would be under control for about the same time that Sale would be, and if given the choice between the two, I'd choose Sale undoubtedly.

It would be. Albies and Folty alone have a surplus value of around 115-120 million and that's just with Folty being a 1.5 pitcher going forward and never really figuring it out.

That's an understatement. If they give up any of Folty, Swanson, or Albies they will be giving up so much future wins to win 2-3 more games in 2017 that it would be beyond moronic.

Here's to hoping Coppy is as smart as we all hope he is and doesn't mortgage future success for a sub-80 win season.

That isn't bad, though I hate losing Albies and Allard (obviously every trade for a good player hurts though). Folty I kinda hate losing, but Sale is better, so it hurts less.

And with Sale, we'll probably have the same 78 wins the White Sox had in 2016. We make that trade and I think a lot of fans would nominate Coppolella for Mayor of Crazytown.

Of course Sale is better than Folty. But one of the issues besides the obvious of giving up that much talent is looking at the rotation for 2018. As constructed it would be Sale and JT with 3 spots wide open.

really? Like seriously? I really like Folty and his upside is awesome, but we know exactly what we get from Teheran and it's quality. Massive quality.

This is getting out of control. There is no need to offer this much. I'm very against a loaded package like this.
