I think we pick up Castillo and Sale... then let's just sign Turner. Playoff team no doubt
And we have have avenues to replace him so he is very valuable and we can likely be fine with out him. Can't make significant upgrades without giving up big talent. We have no clue if Albies will ever succeed.
Hope he does... but we know Sale is a superstar.
You fall off your rocker? The Braves aren't allowed to trade prospects away.
Sorry I think Folty has a higher long term ceiling and could actually be an ace with the strides he's taken. We actually don't know what we get in Teheran all the time.... he wildly varies year to year. Thinking of long term herr

Just say no to trading Allard and Folty.
I'd offer them Albies, Newcomb, Mallex, Sims, & Ruiz for Sale and Frazier and tell the White Sox take it or leave it.
To me that'd be fair. We get our ace and a 3b. They get two prime positional prospects and a potential top of the rotation starter in Newcomb, a promising young pitcher that has upside as either a starter or reliever in Sims, and a quality prospect in Ruiz along with salary relief.
The Braves trading for Sale is equally as stupid as the DBacks signing Greinke. Both teams overestimated how good they were, and dumped too many assets into a single star player. The DBacks used cash, while the Braves will use prospect assets, but it's the same exact mistake.
These ridiculous trade proposals from White Sox fans are because of us and our trade with the Dbacks. I honestly wouldn't trade Swanson straight up for Sale. If we do trade for an ace then it needs to be done from our depth, which is starting pitching and CF. One of Mallex or Inciarte and some pitching is the only way I make the deal.
A Jace/Rodriguez platoon has a legit a believable shot at an 800+ OPS with solid defense. Whether you choose to believe it or not. Hopefully TD will keep making strides and we have plenty of other MI prospects that could be ready in a couple years. Do you honestly think Albies won't struggle his first season in the majors?? He surely did in AAA. Rod/Jace is likely a big upgrade over what Albies can do his first year. That's just probabilities.
I still hope most of the rumors now are coming from the Sox saying the Braves are making a strong offer to drive the price up. There's just no pressing need to give up a huge package of prospects to get Sale now.
Just like always your haven't been following a damn thing. Still don't understand why you're here.
A lot had to go wrong for the DBacks to suck as badly as they did. They came up snake eyes on everything but Segura (which I see the new front office has fixed by dealing Segura).

I disagree strongly with your thoughts on Teheran.
Whoa there, guy. Just interested in your side of things.
I think Turner is a west coast guy and we'll have a hard time signing him. I think Frazier is our guy, for some of these Sale packages I've seen suggested he'd be a nice addition.
While I agree Sale is better than JT, I'D RATHER keep Teheran. As much as Sale is a big upgrade over Teheran I can't really see the point in dealing Albies, Mallex and probably one other high end SP prospect just to upgrade from Sale to Teheran. If you're giving up just prospects then yes because it's a drastic upgrade to the major league roster but if we're just upgrading from Teheran to him it's tough. Although I see more potential upside in Folty, I'd prefer to move him over Teheran.
Confused by this rating of Allard all of a sudden on the board. He was flat out dominant last year after his first 2-3 starts at Rome.
