Winter Meetings Thread

I mean mallex isn't an unreasonable ask. I definitely wouldn't make the deal but they're right to ask for him. Brach is a stud

Might be your Abreu trade

Braves should be all over them after Dahl and/or Rodgers and/or Tapia and/or Nunez. Maybe Folty gets you Dahl and Nunez

I like Folty. But I'd love to get Dahl. I'd do that deal in a heart beat. We know the Rockies prize velocity. But we'd have to move Neck and we can't move Coppy's first FA signing.

Like others, dont really understand the Desmond/Rockies deal.

A team like Toronto, St Louis or Texas in contention sure.

But giving up the 11th pick is just so weird.

Interesting. We're in the market for high-leverage RPs? I'm not totally against it, but just a little surprised.

Another move made by a team that projects for 85+ wins, not by a team that projects for 75+ wins.

They should not be dealing assets with real value for high end BP arms. Not this year anyways.

It is curious why the FO is wasting time exploring trades they have no business making for 1-2 more years. Are they doing just for practice?

You know why. Stop playing dumb.

Nats close to getting Eaton from the White Sox...would be a big get for them.

This Winter Meetings has been boring.

Maybe they are betting in some Coors Field magic.

Coppy said if they couldn't get an ace they might focus on a dominant bullpen. Obviously they aren't signing one of the big closers.

If Eatons goes to the Nats, maybe Mike Rizzo reads this board (and me in particular?)

If they got him without giving up Robles, thats a really good deal.

Lopez or Giolito would have to be involved.

#WhiteSox return includes Lucas Giolito, Dane Dunning and Reynaldo Lopez for Adam Eaton.

The ChiSox just rebuilt their entire rotation for the next half decade with Kopech plus these 3 guys.

Eaton is a 4-5 win guy under control for 5 years for $38M. That represents a surplus value of like $150M.

Eaton is very underrated.

They got Lopez and Giolito thats a nice haul along with Moncada/Kopech.

Kinda silly that the Sox were so bad with Robertson, Sale, Quintana, and Eaton. (along with Abreau and Frazier)

Steep price for Eaton. Nats are probably done on trades.

ChiSox have just added the 1, 3, 30 and 38 prospects in the game over the last 2 days. When they flip Quintana for a couple more top 20 guys they will undoubtedly have the best system in the game, and it won't be close.
