If Wisler continues to pitch well, I'd leave him there and replace krol with Cabrera and eventually replace EOF with aj minter
 
Also pitching in the pen this year does not exclude his being given an opportunity as a starter next spring. Many starting pitchers have spent some time in the pen.

Probably sooner. He might get a spot start. Then if somebody goes on the DL, maybe a few more.
 
I think we need to get production from him any way we can at this point. I don't think he is going to benefit from pitching at AAA anymore. We need help in the pen so if he can pitch effectively out of the pen leave him there for now.
 
Hard to say if it hurts his trade value. I'm sure most scouts can look past what limited role he might currently have as a reliever and visualize him as a starter. The key is he someone needs to figure out how to be more effective, put up better stats. I was against it at first but the more I think about it we need to go ahead and do that with some of our first wave of pitchers.
 
He'll have to start striking batters out if he's going to keep it up as is, but if we're ready to move on at some point on one of our SP, I'd be pretty okay with one having a Chris Devenski role.

Not that big of a deal. Things change. One more thing for complainers to complain about.

Everyone has more value as a starter but we need to fill a bullpen too. There are a bunch of starters with better stuff that are going to pass him by soon.
 
I am one of those rare fans that didnt give up on 2017 before the season started so I want him to help the team now if he can. We will never have a good pen again if we refuse to use our best pitchers because relievers dont rack up WAR as fast as starters.
 
I like Wisler more than Blair. I think he has a higher ceiling, and I've actually watched him pitch well in stretches. Blair has a game here or there...that's about it.
