Woman's March

Well today was a day I've been expecting for some time now, but came sooner than I thought

Our kid turns 1 in a couple weeks and we are hoping for #2 soon

My wife makes close to $1m per year as a surgeon, and just wrapped up year 3 of her post fellowship career.

But she wants to stay home with our kids. She wishes we had them 7 years ago. She wants to give up her lucrative career, after she spent a quarter million dollars and over 10 years of her prime preparing for. She broke down in tears with regret that we didn't have more kids sooner, because our daughter brings her more joy than anything she experiences giving a speech on an eye surgery case

My job is pretty good and we can make it work. Pur bitcoin can fund generations. She wants me to sell it in order to not have to stress about it. Thats a non starter for me though

Its just amazing what feminism has done to women. They delayed their families and now are filled with regret. Some completely single, others having children much older than they wanted.

We will see where we land here. But I made a comment that we should remember this when we raise our daughter. That getting a college degree and bad ass career isn't necessarily the end goal. Which of course was met wirh a vitriol response that we absolutely should encourage our daughter to follow a lucrative career path.

🙄... women, right?

The answer is likely in between.

Still work part time and have the freedom but still stay employed with benefits, etc
