Wasn't he the one that couldn't hit a lick, then they found out he had vertigo? When I hear of cases of vertigo his name comes to mind. I also recall he was coming off a big season and was considered a big free agent signing for us.

Reading through this thread makes me wonder, other than those couple of solid years in '82 and '83, how did I ever manage to stay a Braves fan through the Dark Ages of the '70s and '80s? Probably only because of TBS and Skip, Pete and Ernie. At least they made losing funny...
 
Wow, the youth of the board shines through on this thread. Most of you do not know what it is like to route for a true loser. I mean, come on, you guys sit in here everyday and talk trash about players on a team that will win its division...by 9 games.....all while missing several key starters due to injury. Take the golden baseball out of your rear ends and realize how lucky you are.

Imagine watching the debacle that was the Atlanta Braves in the 80's. Soooooooo many bad...no HORRIBLE teams. That is why I laugh at you boneheads when you say Freddi is horrible and this player is horrible. Most of you have no idea. None. After watching 20 years of incompetent baseball, there is no way I can be overly critical of a team or players that have won as much as this team has since 1991.

*Worst attitude - Kenny Lofton retires this thread. Robert Fick is not too far behind. What a d-bag.

*Worst return on investment via trade- Mark Texiera - single handedly depleted the farm system. No playoff appearances to show for it. J.D. Drew is a close second as we sent Wainwright to STL in return. Len Barker - sent Bret Butler to the Indians.

*Worst return on investment via FA - Reggie Sanders; Dan Uggla; Nick Esasky(sp?) - - And it looks like BJ Upton might take this category in a landslide, but it is still early.
 
I was nosing around Baseball Reference and I think a good case can be made that Paul Casanova may be the worst Brave to ever see extended action during a season.
