Former President Donald Trump’s family business was convicted Tuesday of criminal tax fraud, with a New York jury finding the Trump Organization engaged in an off-the-books compensation scheme to pay some executives in car leases, apartments and cash.

The jury found two Trump Organization corporate entities guilty of all criminal counts they faced, including conspiracy, criminal tax fraud and falsifying business records. The two entities could face a total of more than $1.6 million in fines.

The guilty verdict is a blow to Mr. Trump, who, while facing civil lawsuits and criminal investigations, declared his third consecutive presidential bid last month. The conviction and subsequent penalties for his company could compound the weariness from some Republicans who want to move on to other party leadership.

A judge set the company’s sentencing for Jan. 13.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg said the verdict holds the Trump business accountable for a long-running criminal scheme. “This was a case about greed and cheating,” Mr. Bragg said in a statement. “In Manhattan, no corporation is above the law.”

Hold on, I hear Hunter Biden got a speeding ticket in 2013. This is a much bigger deal than the former second highest vote getter for President having his company found guilty of fraud. What do you suppose Trump would say if this was Joe Bidens company that was convicted?
 
They gave up too easily. They're probably hiding so much more. It's the smart move. Pay your speeding ticket.
 
One thing that is unprecedented in this trial is that Trumps company tried to say this was all Weaselbergs doing all on his own..... which goes right the toilet when its revealed that not only was he not fired but suffered no real consequences from the company that is claiming he committed fraud without their knowing. How many companies do you know that wouldnt fire an employee for fraud like this? Especially when it gets the company sued? Absolutely none. I have no way of knowing if Trump was involved in all this but the fact that he is still paying Weaselberg 1.1 million a year tells me he is being paid off not to say something. Could this dude even get hired at McDonalds if he was fired from Trumps company?
 
Wheres those big brain people from the right to tell us why a company not fire an executive they say committed fraud that got the company convicted? Thats right, their brains only work to scrutinize people and things they dont like. When its their side they herp derp all over the place.
 
I am just asking you to use that big brain detective skills you all think you have when it comes to Democrats, but with Weaselberg. Why would a company keep paying an exective who couldnt get a job from literally anyone else in the same field for minimum wage, 1.1 million dollars a year after he confessed to fraud and got the company convicted of several crimes, which they claim he did solely on his own? Big brain time folks. You can do it, I believe in you. Hunter Bidens Ukraine oil job had more merit to it than Weaselberg still being employed by Trump.
