In a heartbeat. Even if Cespedes leaves we get put from under that albatross of a contract. Cespedes will give us close to what Gattis would a the plate but be able to play an acceptable left field. I would say we could re-sign both Heywood and JUpton if BJ was off the books.

BJ may be like that... I would argue that Cespedes and Gattis are about the same in the arena of strikeout/balls in play... looking at their stats would support this.

But he's expensive and only under control for 1 more yr. Sox of course have the money to resign him, but Gattis brings the same thing offensively and is much cheaper and controllable. And Gattis is at least adequate behind the plate.
