You get two FA signings and as many call-ups as you want; 2017 Lineup - Go

The Braves need to improve 3B, C and add a MOR pitcher. They already made their OF acquisition with Matt Kemp, so I think it's safe to say the OF is set with 3 of Kemp, Markakis, Inciarte and Mallex. The odd man out will be traded.

Since 3B is flush with average FA options, I fully expect them to sign one of Turner, Prado, Desmond, Freese or Yunel. I have no idea which one they will get, but I hope they wait until late in the offseason and pick up whichever guy is sitting there like Freese was this offseason (and was then signed for $3M). The signing at 3B should be a value signing. If Garcia is allowed to be the everyday guy at 3B again, I will have lost all faith in this FO to assess MLB talent.

The FA market for SP is barren, so I think the Braves trade for one. Inciarte and Mallex are the most likely trade chips to get a pitcher. I don't have any good examples, but I thought Moore was a good option before he went to SF. So someone like Moore would be my target.

As far as catcher goes, my top option is still Castro. Excellent framer for the young pitchers, terrible with the bat, but passable as the heavy side of a platoon with Flowers. He should be fairly cheap (3/30 or so), and he would be my #1 FA priority. I would try to lock Castro in before Ramos and Weiters sign and force up demand on him. Norris would be my backup plan, but I would prefer not to give up any prospects. Mac would be my Plan C, preferring to take on more of his contract in exchange for lesser prospects (which is probably exactly the opposite of what the Yanks will want).

Seems like the Twins are jerking around Miguel Sano yet again (from 3B then to RF then back to 3B then to DH and now are talking about demoting him to the minors publicly). I know he's not great at 3B, but man, big dude who has 70+ power who doesn't have a position in Minnesota.. sound like a familiar story? No idea if they would move him or what it would take, or if he's too much of a statute at 3B to be feasible, but those are the kinds of high upside moves I want to use some of our pitching prospects for. Maybe then we can exorcise the ghost of one Robert Fick.

Everything I have read suggests he is a complete butcher on defense. He needs to be a DH I think, but I agree with the premise of buying low on talented guys like Sano, if not Sano specifically.

I believe the Braves they should spend the money very wise this offseason. First they should get Martin Prado. Why? He is a veteran and a clubhouse leader. He used to be a Fan favorite in Atlanta. Plus he is the 9th best batting average player with 3.19. He is a clutch hitter.

Second they should not get any player that comes with a qualifying offer. The only way the Braves should do that is if we are getting a Machado,Harper or a Superstar. But Wilson Ramos is not going to make our team a championship team. Look who we get before AJ with 39 years old. That's the Braves way looking for veterans.

Third we should try to draft JJ Swartz. He should be ready in the next 2 years or 3 maximum. Plus continue drafting our strong Pitchers. With JJ Swartz we have should have a excellent core. Freeman at first, Albies at second, Swanson at short, Maitan at third and JJ Swartz at catcher.

Four try to strength our outfield with a player like Miguel Sano or Yasiel Puig. Maybe Coppy can try to buy low with very high reward. Other great player that Coppy should look here is Greg Holland.

Five the rest of the free agents the Braves contract they should be players with the eyes to be trade at the trade dead line of next year if we are not in contention. Example of this players-Gio Gonzalez, Jaime Garcia or any relievers that we get.

Six we need to trade Markakis,Kemp and any player is not in the Braves future plans. This trades we should look for future relievers.

Seven and last the Braves should don't waste every single penny during the offseason. We never know what kind of offers we can get during the season and we need to think in the future that's when we will make a real run to win a championship.
