You have 1 wish to change government

Elimination of income taxes would be near the top of my list. Maybe capping spending at x% of GDP. Maybe a Social Security opt out.

Would pick something that results in the gov't taking less of my money.

Every intern I know gets paid.

Kind of like gilesfan saying everyone who wants to change the redskins name is white.

Maybe a cursory google of unpaid intern would show you a few things. Many fields offer essentially on the job training that you don't get paid for, it happens, probably way more than you realize, you probably don't see it cause of where you live, I'm guessing the fields that utilize that the most don't work around you.

I'd get rid of lobbying. Everything else would get better if this "legal" form of bribing didn't exist.

My rule of thumb is if a politician has enough money to get a commercial on TV, they're either in it for themselves or in it for whoever helped them pay for it. But one thing is for absolute certain and that's that they aren't in it for you.

I wish we could go to a more corporal punishment similar to Singapore. Rather than feed and house people for minor offenses I think some lashes with a cane will get people's attention. How strict is up to debate but I think it's a much better system than we have now. Rapists, murderers, and violent offenders have to be locked up. Locking up non violent offenders just makes it worse for both sides. Tax payers foot the bill and the prisoner just becomes more of a criminal. I would bring back paddling in schools under high school level. Some kids so just need a butt whipping every now and then.

I would require the federal government to send me a check for 1 billion dollars once a month for the rest of my life.

I would say interns who get paid are the exception. Especially in big cities like DC and NYC. My company does pay interns... but I have several friends whose companies do not. And the applications go out the door.

Interns and college students can't work at least one day a year? Retirees would have retired from a job, so they'd be eligible to vote

Bull****, don't backtrack your original statement. Retirees can't vote. They must work.
