Zito's Song of the Day

Read where the girl singer for the band lost most of her teeth when she had her face smashed into bus steps during a rumble or some such.

Should I ever be lucky enough to get married, I hope this is played... (NOt much of a video, but what a rare, sweet song it captures!)

Springsteen and the band played their final show on their massive two-year, two-album tour on May 18, and the Boss let each of his players have a final solo moment in the spotlight. It's easy to forget Nils Lofgren is one of the world's great guitarists, but he reminded us on May 18.

If Isbell had stayed with the Truckers, they would be a mighty, mighty musical force.

I couldn't agree more. Most of his material ended up being my favorites.

Im not sure what it is, but they can't keep the good talent. Although I'll take Cooley against a lot of folks out there today. Tucker and Isbell were excellent.

DIdn't realized at the time that someone had the foresight to run these songs together. Murder Inc. kick in about 5:30 if you dond't want to watch Nils again (but why not??). This is the best version of Murder Inc. I have ever heard, and there's a reason they didn't play it when Van Zandt wasn't with the band.

Amazing to realize this song was originally on Nebraska. Might say it's evolved (solos for everybody else).

I, for one, am glad E Street evolved into this mighty unit before it goes away completely. Wow.
