Around Baseball

Unless Texas can extend Garza, that doesn't make sense to me.

They have a ton of pitching, it's just on the DL.

They just need a stud bat cough Stanton...

I was reading the Dallas Morning News site yesterday and they were throwing around the idea of acquiring Stanton. It may require them to trade Profar, which actually makes some sense. Since they really don't have a place for him since they extended Andrus. Plus, if Nelson Cruz gets a suspension for the Biogensis case, then they would really need a big bat. But imagine Stanton in that ballpark........

Especially with how well Stanton goes to RF where that jet stream is. Wow. He would put up Chris Davis numbers.

Hanley just smoked a double to give the Dodgers the lead.

Up 2-1 in extras, runner on 3rd at the moment with 1 out.

Nast have three SP's with sub-3 ERA and are one game under .500 and face Kershaw tommiorow....

I don't even know how that's possible.

Still waiting on them to go on a 9-1 type run, probably happens at some point.

Eric Bedard has a no hitter going into the 7th inning and asked to be taken out of the game at 109 pitches. Now it was tied 2-2 when he came out of the game

"I've had three shoulder surgeries," Bedard said. "I'm not going over 110 (pitches). I'd rather pitch a couple more years than face another batter."

I really have no problem with the guy asking to come out. I hope his team doesn't either.

If they suddenly starting hitting then I could see that. But I don't see them hitting anytime soon. They are horrible.

Well he is a *****. You don't get a chance to throw no hitters hardly ever, so you see the opportunity for it and you go for it. At least in my opinion.

I've watched a lot of the Nats game this year and their major issue is they are horrible with runners in scoring position. its like nobody on the team is clutch. they are constantly strandimg runners on 3rd with less than 2 outs. its pretty maddening right now to be a fan of that team. if you just look at their hitters on paper they have decent numbers too.
