Imagine the fear Pence must have felt when a police officer opened the door and an old white lady who voted for him to be VP walked in and casually toured the Capitol. I mean, he had Secret Service and Capitol police officers there to defend and escort him through secured tunnelsto other government buildings if the violence had ever started, BUT STILL. Terrifying.
 
I am confident no Supreme Court Justice except Clarence Thomas was corrupt enough to have even sided with Trump even if Pence did what he asked. The argument that the constitution saying someone "shall" do something doesnt bar them from doing everything it doesnt specifically say they cant do would have opened a huge can of worms regading government power. The real issue is the trying to corrupt the certification process because while they may have failed it did so largely because they were unprepared to enact it and their attempt started too late. That wont be the case the next time around. That people like you excuse this attempt tells us you will be just fine with subverting the election like this if he loses in November. Which is a worst case scenario. I would rather Trump win outright than have him steal the Presidency. That will not go well. There will be protests that dward anything we have seen before and we know how Trump would handle that.
 
For the record, his stance that Pence could basically overturn the election was nonsense. The typical crybaby bull**** that is such a turnoff with Trump. I have no problem acknowledging that while also mocking the media narratives that BLM riots were peaceful civil rights protests and that January 6th was some violent insurrection. Even our current President has the cognitive capacity to see that as propaganda that would make Goebbels blush.
 
You really expose yourself when you just say "the media". There is a lot of media. Right leaning and left leaning. Some you can claim overly claim it was peaceful and some overly claim it was violent. A lot of BLM protests were peaceful. Some were violent. Some were only violent after cops escalated to violence. A lot of J6 protesters were peaceful. Some were violent. Some were only violent after police escalated to violence. You are free to watch whatever media you want. Pissing and moaning because media you dont like doesnt present the news in a fashion you like is retarded. Dont watch them if you dont like them. There is no shortage of news sources of varying perspectives. Liberals dont like how Fox News, Newsmax, and OANN present their news. Its a fact of life. None of you get to tell any media how to cover the news other than with your viewership. Dont like it dont watch it. Stop crying about it.

You were onto something in the middle of that post. Some were, some weren't, some escalated in response to policing. I wish our media, and by that I mean all of them, would have presented things in that manner.
