Trade targets?

It's become obvious that this team isn't flipping a switch, the offense needs help. Who are some guys that could be targeted that won't be too expensive bc we don't have much currency (prospects)?

Duvall has to quit hitting vs rhp...
.094 avg
-23 wrc+
.131 wOBA

It's sad we may have to cut an actual lhp killer (187 wrc+) bc snit doesn't bother to look at splits.

Mark canha
Taylor ward
Pham

Canha intrigued me last off-season and I thought he'd be a good fit. He's a bit in the netherworld of players as he's better than a strict platoon guy, but has shortcomings if an everyday guy at this stage of his career. Relatively even RHP/LHP splits for his career, but he's eating up LHP this season. He's in his last year of a $11.5 MM contract, so he was probably viewed as cost-prohibitive when building this year's team.

I've always liked Pham. He has a screw (or two or five) loose, but he's a battler. Has great stats versus LHP. Don't know if he fits the current state of the clubhouse, but that's where Snitker has to step in. A big personality can affect things either way.

I think Pham fits the clubhouse perfect. The team needs a fire lit under their ass bc they have gotten to comfortable.

Kind of quit paying attention, but isn't Arcia still grading out really highly defensively? Going to be cost prohibitive and/or hard to find teams willing to deal a clear upgrade there, regardless of how frustrating his bat is.

The most impactful trade we can make is trading our key players' listless, horrific starts for their career averages, whether that takes firing coaches, continuing to be patient, or whatever means necessary. That is the one thing that will significantly raise the floor for this team. Unless the acquisition can help with this (or it fixes itself), we're shuffling deck chairs, IMO (would still like to add an OF to play against RHP).

Pham might help shake things up, or he might punch Ozuna in the face and put him on the IL for 2 months. But I guess he's cheap, and I don't know how close we are to the next luxury tax threshold or the palatability of crossing it. If we have any chance at resetting the penalty, a year where you lose Strider and Acuna early seems ideal for it.

I wouldn’t call the kind of irrational behavior we see from Pham as fire. He just flips out over stupid stuff.

Fire can motivate. Crazy is just stupid.

Everybody thought Joc was oit there and he turned the club house around. With how laid back this team it could use some crazy injected into it. Couldnt hurt at this point.

If AA doesn't make a move soon, this season is gonna spiral out of control. Harris, Murphy, and Riley genuinely suck now.

Disagree that it couldn’t hurt. Joc was out there, but was generally thought of as a good teammate. Pham is the guy that tears down locker rooms by starting fights over stupid things.

Don't agree. The Braves clubhouse for as stoic as they are have always gravitated towards personalities.

They need to seriously consider moving Harris soon...He's spiraling down hill quick and has no ability to adjust.

This Arcia bullsh*t needs to end too...We need a SS that can hit...

I saw a graphic yesterday where we were only 1 win off from the exact same record a year ago. The struggles lately are exacerbated by the fact that the Phillies have been playing insane, mostly due to extreme luck. The offense will turn around. These guys are too talented to hit this poorly all season.
