GDT 6/9/24: Braves @ Nationals - Waldrep makes his debut

Waldrep will likely be fine, but shouldn't be counted on to be a Cy Young contender right away. That inning should have been over way before it got to 7-2. Yet again an easy ground ball to an infielder who wasn't there extended the inning further.

Martinez pulling his kid before getting into too much trouble -- what a novelty. He didn't leave in him to try to get that elusive "W".

After they saw him 1 time, he was done. That's concerning, along with only 1 k.

There were also three first pitch outs and at least one or two others that went only a couple pitches. Not going to get a lot of strikeouts on at bats that are less than three pitches.

Meh, this team is utterly unwatchable anymore. I'm switching over to Titanic to feel better.

P.S. This team has got to be, like, historically bad with bases loaded.

4 bb, so they took pitches too

One walk the first time through the order. The others came in the rough inning when the Gnats adjusted. First three innings, he looked good. He'll have to learn how to counter those adjustments. Once he does that, he can really tap into his potential

Snit doesn't even check this stuff. AA extended snit. We are a dumb organization

Who was he going to hit there? Martinez is ****. Guillorme is gone. Wall is missing. Laureano isn't there. It's not worth burning Murphy who isn't setting the world on fire either. Short sucks.

Yes, Martinez. The nats aren't using any lh relievers. Duvall's day is over as soon as they pulled the lh starter. Martinez isn't good, but he isn't -28 wrc+ bad - that's freaking me hitting mlb pitching bad
