What you guys are failing to understand is that I don’t hold the opinion that Joe Biden is innocent of any of this. Republican lawmakers in Congress have failed to prove that Joe Biden broke the law in these business dealings. I’m happy to have them investigate further, and if evidence is provided that Biden committed the crimes they claim he did, support holding him accountable for having done so. I also frankly don’t doubt that Joe Biden hasn’t spent decades abusing his power. But at the end of the day, you have to prove these things happened, not speculate. So far House Republicans have failed to do this, perhaps in part because our corruption and campaign finance laws are toothless. If we don’t improve upon these laws, there’s a ton of ****ery that can happen because the line between legal and illegal conduct is both weak and easy to circumvent.

Circumstantial evidence CAN convict but you could be correct there not being enough. However, we have to use our common sense here. If Joe is not involved why did Hunter use him as a weapon to get what he wanted?

Honestly I think that’s the weakest argument of the bunch, man. Let’s say I’m Hunter Biden and I’m out looking for cocaine money. I approach some idiot in Ukraine and say “give me money or my dad won’t do [x] for you” and they oblige. Joe wouldn’t be criminally liable for this conduct, and it wouldn’t even be an irrational decision for the company, even if Joe never does anything. The amount of money Hunter was getting in his absurd roles is a rounding error for these entities, and they *regularly* use their resources for lobbying across the globe. I think it’s absolutely worth investigating President Biden’s involvement in such a scheme, but I don’t think it’s a foregone conclusion in this situation.

It's actually a strong argument because Hunter's action that I brought up shows that Joe is part of the business. Why would Hunter bring Joe up if he had no connection to the business?

We have a business associate that went under oath to say Joe was part of the business.
 
The idea that we aren't sure that Joe Biden was the point person here and the true 'asset' to generate this income is insanity.

Because he’s an unscrupulous liar who knows people will give money to him because of who his dad is? At least on its own, it only shows that Hunter is willing to claim he can make something happen. If you’re trying to make that stick beyond the court of public opinion, you’re simply going to need more evidence than that.

Maybe corroborating testimony from business associates who were present during deals?

But Tucker was considered a kook for putting on bobulinksy and you were told to believe that was all a lie and thats why you still doubt it...
 
I can't imagine a reasonable person evaulating the evidence that has been PUBLICLY available about Joe Bidens corruption and saying, "I need to see more"

Possible, but when you add that we have several witnesses to back up exactly what Hunter is saying here it has teeth. Hunter implies Biden is part of this operation right here along with several witnesses saying the exact same thing.

Its obvious that Joe is the ringleader.

One of the most basic things you learn in accounting is the definition of an asset:

Asset = Probable future economic beneift

The only asset in the Biden crime family is Joe's political position.

To pretend that this was not the scheme from the beginning takes a special kind of person.

Okay, but how does this actually counter the argument that Hunter Biden could be a lying junkie looking to strong-arm a Chinese businessman? I’m not actually even making the claim Joe Biden wasn’t in the room or that Hunter was lying, but you have to prove *that* part.

To be clear, the claim that brought us here today was that the Biden family needs Joe to stay in office to stay out of prison and keep enjoying their lifestyle. This message was actually sent in March of 2017, when Joe Biden was a nothing but a powerful and connected civilian. I don’t trust Joe Biden to have not abused any of his positions in his life, but let’s not pretend there’s an iron-clad prosecution awaiting him and his family in January if he loses.

The fact that Hunter's threat here backs up what others have testified to is quite damning. The fact that the Chinese associates took Hunter's threat serious is damning too.

"He could be lying" stuff doesn't hold up when 5 witnesses have testified under oath that Joe is Mr. Big. Are they all lying too? Two of the witnesses are FBI whistleblowers.
