Just a reminder that we moved heaven and earth for kelenic (1.3 fWAR). Nats paid winker (1.3 fWAR) 2 million, and dbacks paid grichuk (0.7 fWAR) 2 million. Boy, I sure wish we had that platoon over kelenic

I would much rather have Kelenic than Grichuk. And you would have been pissed if Jesse Winker was our big off-season move for LF. He was coming off 2 poor seasons and hasn't had a particularly good track record of staying healthy. That's why he only cost 2 million. The bigger bonehead move was not going harder after Joc, who signed for a relatively humble deal with AZ. Many of us were clamoring for him and he's been a beast this year.
In a sense. He's more of replacement for Rojas/Pache combination in CF. Marsh will slide over to CF and Hays will man LF. But again Hays isn't very good in general. It's an upgrade for their lineup but undoubtedly makes their OF defense much worse.
Really surprising Nacho is there. He's had a really nice month and half in AAA, but otherwise he hasn't been particularly special as a prospect.
I have to admit I've never even heard of Baldwin, and hopefully he isn't traded for an aging veteran catcher who supposedly throws better and will then be extended into his 30s.
And I am mildly excited about drafting Cam.

Braves rank 16, which is much improved over 1-2 years ago.
For comparison, Smith is a FV 40 OF and Hopkins is a 45+ RHP.
The equivalent from the Braves would have been roughly one of Ceballos/Garcia/Kuehler plus JR Ritchie (if healthy).
I think most would have been ok with that.

Baldwin might be the only real hitting prospect in the system currently. according to what I can dig up and what is posted, he is actually generating EVs that represent real numbers. Nacho needs to be traded asap.. everything I have read and now seen convinced me his bat will be worse the Grissom.
How often does FG update their FV ratings? Both players seem to have a good bit of helium this season.
