We have the prospects. But is it even worth it at this point? To make the WS, we'd have to win the best of 3 WC, then win back to back road series w/o HFA vs LA and Philly. Seems like an impossible battle.

I think we have enough pitching, but they clearly need 1 or 2 outfield bats. Just depends on the price to get one.

The team is missing Acuna, Fried, Albies, Strider, Harris, and a bunch of other guys have missed time throughout the year. When healthy, they have one of the best rosters in the sport. Plus absolute bad luck as well. I wouldnt blame AA if he just felt it's not the time to go for it.
 
I mean, at this point we should trade Murphy and see what he’ll bring back. At the very least we can get out of his contract.
 
Elfin to Baltimore for outfielder Matthew Etzel, right-handed pitcher Jackson Baumeister and superutilityman Mac Horvath. Looks like 10th and 17th prospects in the O's system on Pipeline, not a bad haul for Tampa.

Yeah, i dont get the point of that trade if they're never gonna play Murphy more than 2 times a week. He cant get in a rhythm. If we missed the playoffs with this roster, would AA fire Snit or blame it on injuries?
 
If this team gets swept this weekend. Who is now agreeing with me that they should sell some pieces as a money reset. Riggy/minter/fried/tda. Wouldnt get a ton for them but it clears some bucks.

I think selling would be better than buying. You have to be real secure in your job to contemplate it. Probably best all around to do nothing.
