I just know the guy led a team that didn't have its full arsenal all year and will probably end up within a game of the playoffs if they win the last two series. That does not deserve dismissal. Strider, Acuna, Murphy, Harris, Riley, and Albies all down to significant injury and there is no way he is blamed. I may as well add your boy Olson to that list seeing as how he was MIA as far as production for most of the season. This may be Snitker's best job of making chicken salad out of chicken s---.
This is perhaps the best example of misplaced credit I've ever seen on a baseball related topic.
Unfortunately, the narrative surrounding Snit will be created by folks with similarly faulty logical deductive skills, and Snit isn't going anywhere. I imagine we are stuck watching him bumble through game scenarios for 1 more season. All we can do is hope AA brings in a more modern mind for 2026 and beyond, at which point the team will be on the downslope and the new manager will be blamed for worse overall performance.
