Looking towards 2025

It probably depends on how far the Braves can go in the playoffs. If we can get to the 2nd round then we have home games that will boost sales. Do we get any money from the first round since all 3 games are in SD? Seems unfair if thats the case.

There is a % that all teams get no matter what. It's more the farther you go.

The window of being an elite team has likely already closed, or is in the process of closing. The window of being a playoff contender with a decent chance to luck into a title will probably remain open as long as the payroll stays in the Top 5.

I had thought for awhile the window of being an elite team would close with Fried leaving. However, now with the emergence of Sale, Schwellenbach and Lopez, to go along with Strider, I figured it could continue a bit longer since the hitting lineup remains largely the same from the elite 2023 team. Albies is under control for 3 more years, and Acuna 4 more after this year.

It's mostly semantics though because like you said, the team should be good enough to contend for the foreseeable future and at least make the playoffs with a chance to luck into another title.

This is especially true when you look around the league and see how many teams either aren't willing to spend, and/or have no idea how to run an organization.

MLBTR put out projected arbitration and Ramon’s at $6.1M. I don’t think we’ll get this Ramon over a full season in 25. He’s got a pretty high BABIP, but that’s a reasonable number

That’s an overpay for him, but the flip side is AA can’t seem to get quality bench players to come to Atlanta unless they are under team control.

Can they decline arb and then immediately sign him for $3M? Is a few million bucks worth losing quality Acuna insurance?

All depends if Ramon thinks he can be a starter somewhere. Some players prefer that rather than being a bench player on a good team.

My biggest concern is the rotation. We had a couple revelations in Lopez and Schwellenbach. Sale was obviously great this year, but can you expect him to duplicate that next season? It's unlikely. Fried likely was his final game as a Brave tonight. Charlie Morton is likely retiring. He says he's not ready to make a decision, but I'll be beyond shocked if he pitches another year. How soon will Strider be ready? And can you realistically expect him to return to his self very soon? Is Waldrep any close to being ready to contribute? What about Ian Anderson? That's my biggest concern for this team.

I’m doing everything i can to trade for Crochet as soon as the offseason starts. We need another lefty and he would solve the rotation problem for sure.

That’s what I mean. No way Laureano signs to rot in Snit’s bench, so AA may have to overpay a guy he controls to have a legit bench option.

I would like to see Laurenano back as well. And I would like to see the Kelenic experiment ended, if possible. I know he's dirt cheap, but I would rather not give him 300-400 PAs next year.

I would call it database error.

We were sabotaged from the inside this year.

First the forum name was not voted on or discussed and frankly was awful, then the database error injured most of our posters and most spent time on the DL from too much refreshing

We got him off a solid 750 ops season in a pitchers park, but seitzer had to fix him.
