Decided to go ahead with Pitts again. Actually had a good game. Probably flukey but hoping it leads to more targets

I can't defend the Pitts pick, I tried to back then even though Sewell was the one I wanted. But that was a baffler especially since QBs went 1-2-3 that draft so you had the best WR and best OT and best Edge on the board. Falcons would have either Sewell, Chase or Micah and any of them would be a huge upgrade over Pitts.

But look after the Bijan pick, who would you have taken over him? Even with hindsight. Maybe Jalen Carter, but he's not elite. I woudln't have hated Skonski but he's an undersized tackle. Van Ness looks like a scrub, etc

Carter

Jones

Gonzalez

Wright

I wasn't a fan of skoronski at the time of the draft. Haven't really followed to see if he's doing well.

My arguement against Wright and jones were that the Falcons OL wasn't that bad. McGary isn't great at RT, but I feel like drafting a RT top 10 is also kind of dumb.

Gonzalez I can agree, I wanted him or Jalen probably the most. But I can understand Bijan too. But if Gonzalez got his **** wrecked like he did last year that woudl have sucked too.

Picks were fluky but I wouldn’t say it was a good Niner game.

The defense has been a massive letdown this year.

Ive been saying Lawrence was not a generational QB from day 1. Starting to hear those comments now......... Dude is just nothing more than an averageish starter. Maybe slightly better than average.

He was a generational talent and this is probably his floor. That's pretty good. I think in a better situation he would have been better.

When I first saw Lawrence as a true freshman at Clemson he sure looked like he was going to be a generational talent, but a lot of stuff can happen along the way. He still looks to have the arm talent, but as gilesfan pointed out, there appears to be something missing.

The term generational talent gets thrown out too much with QBs. Im just a guy on the couch and I didn't see it with Lawrence at Clemson. I saw bad sacks and a lot of very safe throws and then maybe a couple highlights.

There is just something missing with him. He doesn't elevate the team.

Cheifs have the easiest path to the No 1 seed they have ever had. The rest of the AFC is pretty bad this year, aside from the Texans, Bills and Ravens. I suppose the Steelers still have an elite defense so you can't count them out, but I don't trust Wilson or Fields to take that team to 12 -13 wins. Everyone else is super mediocre.

I don't know what is going on in SD, but Harbaugh has completely nerfed Justin Herbert.

Herbert wasn't that good last year either. His per pass rates are basically tere with last year hes just throwing much less.

Anyway, CHiefs will start dropping games. THey can only have so many lucky breaks. THe division is a joke so they have that going for them.

AFC is for sure mediocre now. BUt I don't think Chiefs luck can keep continuing. Kelce is going to have to stop taking games off if they want to keep winning.

Herbert's yards per attempt, yards per completion, and QBR are all at career lows, despite throwing the ball significantly less. He's been nerfed. And not really for a good reason, as the Chargers are still crappy when he is throwing less.
