This is going to sound like a weird gripe but I don’t like this, and not because it’s Ron DeSantis. I agree this person should have the book thrown at them depending on the circumstances, but I don’t love when government officials, particularly prominent executives, use their position of influence to push for severe criminal penalties for the accused. This is very much a thing that happens across the political spectrum depending on the crime or criminal demographics, but it’s just a bad thing. We can make our own assumptions on what to do with an asshole who would basically drown a dog without the head of the entity prosecuting that criminal weighing in and rallying half the people to support harsh penalties.
Biden won the popular vote by 4.5%. So yes, even if polling is more accurate this time around, her support is significantly less than Biden's.
At best you can PA, WI, and MI are toss ups. In reality, Trump is leading PA, and likely has a slight lead in WI and MI. And he's leading NC, AZ, and GA.

this equation does indeed allow Trump to surpass Romney shares. But it still leads to a 50/50 tie with Pedo Joe... and that's removing 8.5M and 1.5M votes from each respectively
I don't see how this generous calculus is the proof that shows Trump is the most popular candidate ever, while he still can't clear Pedo Joe in a 1:1

Indeed. Thethe and I were alligned on the awesomeness of RDS in 2022. All the sudden - thethe changed his tune... can't quite figure out why. Such a mystery!
Since then, RDS has been stacking victories the likes of which I have never seen. He's easily been the most effective politician I have ever seen - surpassing my favorite politicians like Ron Paul and Thomas Massie who said all the right things but never truly moved the needle.
Ron DeSantis has actually positively impacted my life (and I don't live in Florida!) and the life of Americans outside of Florida numerous times; moreso than any other politician - including Trump and Kari Lake and JD Vance
But thethe dismisses it all because he's not allowed to acknowledge it anymore. Trump and Laura Loomer have forbid it. He dismisses everything he does, or makes excuses (red legislature!), or takes victory laps prematurely (remember when thethe was celebrating Disney?)
I'm really disappointed to see someone I used to hold respect for fall so badly down a cult that he's unsavable. Flipping on abortion the way he did, calling for more unions, wanting nationalized healthchare, wanting to end the electoral college, saying there's no use in cutting spending, etc etc etc. I can go on and on, but we've got the point
a man should not sacrifice everything he believes in due bc of another man. Trump is to the left of the Obama platform. He's to the left of the clinton platform. He has overseen historic losses and the left has advanced further faster than any other time in my life.
Want to vote for Trump bc he's less awful than Kamala. Fine - totally reasonable and rational. But to simply keep accepting the **** sandwhich he rubs in our faces and cheer it on in the process is so pathetic

Correct. There is not a single metric or piece of evidence to support such an absurd claim.
I would argue he is the most popular candidate among his base, but beyond that - much of the party doesn't like him. The left despises him. His approval rating has always been abysmal. His election results have been subpar. His endorsements in toss up races almost never move the needle. Hell, he was only pulling roughly half the vote in the primary til everyone dropped out

So for starters, strengthening ACA or other new and innovative forms of medical safety net are a must.

How have I dismissed the job desantis has done exactly? You just don’t like that I accurately state he isn’t as viable nationally. Don’t shoot the messenger or make up lies like I am dismissive of RDS as a Gov.
