London is finally being used as a slow possession receiver with incredible catching ability should be used. High volume, short pass chain mover and red zone target. The Falcons have smartly abandoned the idea that he's a deep threat.

London's second in the NFL in receptions but his 11.3 yards per catch is 64th in the league.

London still struggles mightily with separation but the NFLs shift to soft coverage is a boon for guys like London who feast close to the line. You don't need the ability to separate when the DB is playing 10 yards off the line and your route is 5 yards down field.

Could care less how he does it… he’s awesome right now.
 
I really am starting to wonder just how bad the Falcons coaching staff was the last 3 years. It's almost like some of these Falcons former high draft picks are getting real NFL coaching for the first time.

I honestly think Arthur Smith was really, really bad in some key areas and developing talent was one of them.

I'm not a huge fan of the Morris hire but I think developing talent is a strength of his.
 
When Morris was first a head coach he was way too young. It’s silly to think he hasn’t grown since then. He’s had a bit of a learning curve but to think getting experience under McVay wasn’t helpful is also silly. Dudes a good coach and still improving. He’s a motivator of men and I’m so glad we hired him instead of Bill B. The Falcons have a solid future and it’s pretty easy to see.

My main objections to Morris are based on him not exactly being an innovative, genius Xs and Os coach. Most of your elite NFL coaches (Reid, Shanahan, McVay, etc) are top notch designing and calling plays for one side of the ball or the other. Morris is pedestrian in that department.

I see his strengths being creating a team culture and developing players. Still, that's better than Arthur Smith's strengths of managing his trust fund and making pithy remarks to the press.

Ultimately, I think Morris is only successful if he has top notch Xs and Os guys around him who he leans on, especially on offense. Problem is if you have that they tend to get hired away.

Oddly enough Dantes best year was when Moss was checked out. His presence meant everything but yes for rare occasions its always the QB.

Looks like a lot of it is system related. Do you try to get the WRs the ball in space and let them run after the catch? Do you attack downfield? Are you throwing screen passes? Do you hit the TE often?
 
WR play is heavily dependent on the QB. Hard to say Olave has regressed when he was awesome for 2 years and has had a slow 6 game sample. Garret Wilson is stuck with 40 year old AROD and now will have to right AROD throwing the ball to his buddy nonstop.

Also- you have to use the WRs the right way and it appears that they are finally using London as an Anquan Boldin type.

In terms of actual production for 2024 I don't see na issue aside from Allen.

Definitely not a top 5 overall listing.

But I'd expect PUrdy to frequent this list for the forseeable future while idiots like Zito still claim he isn't great.

Again we'll see what Purdy does when he's the focus of the team. Right now he's responsible for 0.39% of the cap. most of the Niners backups are getting paid more than him. Legit he's 39th in their payroll.

I believe he can start renogiating next year. ANd he's a moron if he doesn't hold out until he gets paid. His year 1 and maybe year 2 cap hit won't be much. But it will establish a trend. Purdy by 2026 will probably be 40-50M to the cap.

I hope the best for him because you never want someone to fail (unless they're a saints player)
