I mean Grady Jarrett is a handful

If Both DTs were doing great you'd have a point but you can easily double up a DT and keep the RB/TE chipping out wide and have an open passing attack. Atlanta also doesn't seem great at generating blitz packages to get pressure either.

Man if the Browns put Myles Garrett on the market the falcons need to sell out for him. Myles and Judon would be an unfair duo.

Doubling down on this, trading for Garrett wouldn't even require any cap ****ery this year because Atlanta would only owe him like a million.

Offer them a 1 and one of our defensive ends. See what their counter is. Myles is so ****ing good and woudl move our defense from good to great. With a potent offense as Cousins gets healthy and builds report with our talent **** it we instantly become contenders.

Garrett is a great pass rusher, but you are crazy if you think 1 player moves the needle that much. Atlanta is in a weird spot for sure as they aren't thinking long term but aren't necessarily ready to be title contenders today. But, I dont think 1 move makes them a contender.

Agree to disagree. The most valauble move in the NFL is to pressure the QB. Atlatna is not good at that. Myles Garrett instantly adds an elite pass rusher. ANd will make Judon more dangerous as he'd now be the second target.

Atlanta has a good secondary and decent LB corps. Myles would instantly make them better. THe run defense is still a concern, but I feel like if QB pressure isn't as much of a concern you can sell out vs. the run other ways.

The term generational talent gets thrown out too much with QBs. Im just a guy on the couch and I didn't see it with Lawrence at Clemson. I saw bad sacks and a lot of very safe throws and then maybe a couple highlights.

There is just something missing with him. He doesn't elevate the team.

I don't really watch college football outside of an LSU game here and there so I am talking out my ass on this subject. I remember watching tape on Burrow and being more impressed with Jamar Chase and Justyn Ross than Burrow. He looked like a mid first round QB to me. So shows what I know. When I watch college football it looks like the ball weighs 10 pounds when college QBs throw the ball. There's really only a handfull of college QBs that really impressed me. Peyton Manning and Carson Palmer being the only surefire bet to be a good QB that I can remember off the top of my head. I do recall laughing so hard at the Taiders drafting JaWalrus Russell. I actually did see him quite a bit since he played for LSU. Third round prospect imo. Drafted first overall lol. He shouldnt even be called a bust because it was so obvious he was not good.

Falcons got outplayed today and badly out coached. Morris has gotten schooled in each Falcons loss. He had no answers on either side of the ball.

Eh, I won't draw too many conclusions. We've been riding too high IMO. We were due for a let down loss. At least it didn't happen in division. The team isn't good enough to beat all the teams they shoudl beat.

Defense has all kinds of issues, we need to inject something into it. Be it playcalling or a player, don't know what, but offense isn't good enough to win games on their own.

The defense has way too little pass rush to lean as hard into bend don't break as they do. In order to effectively use a bend don't break, you have to get some pressure on the QB from your defensive front. If they can't generate pressure, the QB will find an open man.

The Falcons are epically bad at getting to opposing QBs. They'll either have to add personnel that can get to the QB, scheme more pressure requiring less bend don't break, or else continue to fail.

Aiyuk likely done for the year. Prime example why holding out is almost always the best decision for a player. Had he played the final year under his rookie contract, he would have just lost a minimum of 20-30 million in guaranteed money. May be more.
