Shameful

Good, the state shouldn’t be given explicit power to kill its people, full stop.
Except for those 3 really unpopular guys
Which 3 are you referring to?
The 3 he didn't commute. Roof, the Boston bomber, and the synagogue shooter.
I guess those were just too politically unpopular
Oh, he should have commuted their death sentences too. Pure cowardice on his part not to do so.
But I guess at least Trump will still get to execute 3 people, right? And they’ll even be the worst of the worst? How exciting for fans of state murder come January!
Yeah... people who murder children in cold blood can be hung by a rope rather than cost tax payers hundreds of thousands of dollar to keep their pathetic existence in check
But the thing I like most about you is your consistency in going to bat for people who commit the worst possible crimes imaginable
Not condoning murder is not a defense of murder. I’m not wishing them a happy and fulfilling future. I just don’t see it as our government’s job to decide whether or not any of us get to be killed.
Then why have laws at all? It's not the governments job to decide our fates
9 of the 37 have murdered other people in prison
9 of the 37 have murdered other people in prison
Sounds like we should address the prison system.
Compassion cloaked in naivety
There are a lot of ways we could make prisons safer if we just committed to not overcrowding them with those that commit victimless crimes or by overcharging petty criminals. The prison system in America is what we made it.
Silly the context in which you are arguing this point. What do you think someone who is on federal death row committed to be in that position?
