Do you get felonies from shoplifting ?
Yes. How much you have to shoplift for it to rise from a misdemeanor to a felony varies by state, but yes.

My argument is pretty directly that there’s no universal truth that what makes someone a man, a concept defined by humans to account for differences we observed between two sets of people, is their genitals rather than their other traits that you state are inherently masculine or feminine. I wholly understand why men and women are defined as they are, but I reject the notion that society absolutely *must* accept this as “universally” true.
Once he’s served the sentence for his crime, sure. Pass new laws if you want him to have some specific sentencing. Just don’t pretend there aren’t solutions somewhere between letting him steal and letting the state execute him for stealing.
And your response to that is chopping off genetals?
My response is I’m not a medical doctor, scientist or trans person, and I’ll defer to them on this before I defer to conservative politicians trying to fight a culture war.
I'm saying his sentence should never see the light of day again. what do you think his sentence should be, presuming he is definitely guilty?

Whatever the ****ing relevant statutes and a jury of his peers say, man. I’m not in favor of violent crime simply because I don’t think the state should get to sentence people beyond statutory limits based on the vibes of the case or whatever.
Yup - figured this was your response.
Gross
Do you need to be a doctor to understand that mutilating genitals is not a good idea?
But if you and your doctors agree that “mutilating your genitals” will be a net positive for you.
good Lord. hopeless
why are you dancing around the issue. if you were the judge on his case - what would you sentence him to?
don't be scared. go ahead and tell us all why he should definitely be let free, again. you are the best defender of criminal thugs and pedohphiles on this site
good Lord. hopeless
I would sentence him according to the applicable statutes, because that’s what the judge’s role is in the process. If I thought the sentencing guidelines were too strict or lenient, I suppose I’d have to call my local representative or use my influence as a judge to advocate for changes.
Hey, I also enjoy not dying of infectious diseases. If you just don’t understand why you should be legally required to take a vaccination against that disease because *I* think it’s obvious that it’s good for you, it’s totally cool that politicians can decide that for you, even if your doctor disagrees, right?
sorry, but you're not gonna be able to equate me making a decision about my own body vs a doctor giving the sign off to actively castrate a boy
barbaric.

It’s okay to just freely admit you think medical decisions should be made by a handful of people who owned a chain of video rental stores or whatever in bum**** Texas over the people who have studied the psychology and medicine of an issue for decades. I’m just asking that you consider that argument might cut both ways.
