That was the drive that broke the back I think. Extended drive with basically no mistakes. Only way it would have been better is if the Eagles scored a TD

This Superbowl is like the Giants/Pats 07 Superbowl, except the Eagles have one of the best offenses in the league. Their front 4 just purely dominated the game.

Didn't have a dog in the fight, but it was nice to see Mahomes sh*t the bed. Garbage stats make it look like he didn't play poorly. Pressure is one thing, but even given that he made some terrible and ill-advised throws.

Chiefs played much better the 2nd half. Some of that was due to the Eagles being up 34-0. But ultimately it was the turnovers that killed them. Eagles scored 17 points off of Chiefs turnovers. 24 if you count the Chiefs turnover on downs in the 3rd quarter. Even the 07 Patriots weren't overcoming that deficit when they basically give the other team 24 points.

It reminded me of the 2021 Bucs/Chiefs. Bucs defense suffocated Mahomes all game and the Tompa Bay offense was cruising.

Ehh

I don't believe this is right.

The chiefs got the first turnover the likely took points away from the Eagles.

Turnovers killed the Chiefs. But the turnover on downs only happened because they were so far behind.

Eagles outgained the Chiefs by 70 yards even with fully taking the foot off the gas for basically 17 minutes. After that TD pass to Smith, the Eagles stopped caring. Next drive they just controlled the clock. One after it they just controlled the clock, the next one Kenny Pickett was on the field.

Last TD pass to Worthy was with the Eagles' second-string in the defensive backfield. Eagles' defense absolutely manhandled the Chiefs' offense and Hurts stepped up big-time when it was clear that the Chiefs weren't going to let Barkley beat them. Bad calls against both teams. I thought the unnecessary roughness against McDuffie was a bit lame and it probably wouldn't have been called if his hand didn't get inside the Eagles' WR/TE (can't remember which) face mask. Incidental, but think that made the difference as to whether the refs threw the flag.

Can't believe the Eagles didn't punt instead of turning it over on downs late in the 4th quarter. After the Chiefs scored, I checked the over/under (I don't bet) and sure enough, that score turned it from "under" to "over."
