Griffin is a better passer in which ways? It can't be arm strength. Going through progressions? Neither one has a giant sample for that. Accuracy? Can't be that either. Well maybe Griffin is more accurate on his little 7 yards in patterns. So what passing areas is Griffin better at than Kaep?
Rg3 -66% comp% 8.1 ypc in pros. Kap 62% 8.3 ypa. Cant be accuracy, huh? RG3 also completed 67% and72% last 2 yearscollege
Griffin is more accurate than Kap by a good margin.
At his little short routes. And hitting wide open receivers isn't hard to do either. Let me know when he fires a ball into an NFL sized passing window. I'll be waiting a long time.
Not sure why this turned to a discussion of RG3's accruacy. I think he is plenty accurate. Kaep still has a stronger arm and while its a small sample proved he was one of the most accurate deep ball throwers in the league.
It turned into that when someone said he was a better passer than Kaep.
How about this, neither are exceptional QBs yet. SHOCKER!!!!
Last year on third and long, RG3 had a terrible 10.4% FD% Kaeperdick had a much higher 29.6 but food for though, with the same weapons and much less "talent" and run threat, Smith was at 36%
So both of them have a lot of work to do on downs where the ball is on their shoulder.
Pretty tough when your weapons are josh Morgan, an injured Garçon, and 35 year old Sanatana Moss. Not everyone can have Jones, White,Gonzo
And Kap played for Nevada
My point clearly is that the receivers can't make a QB great. Look at Stafford, he's got the best weapon in the game and he was not very good last year.
One weapon can be neutralized. Guys like Ryan have three HOF receivers.
