Elon

Elon Musk’s entire contribution to the discourse these days is either crying about how unfair it is that people don’t appreciate him for all the hard work he’s doing to save America or calling for people to be fired. For all the talk of authoritarianism in this administration, it’s shocking how much of their messaging is just crying that the Libs or Deep State are too mean to them personally.

Or... crying about how unfair it is that his company and employees are being physically assaulted bc they don't like his politics

Violence is a tool of the left... yall either don't see it or condone it.

I’ll grant you his employees/customers and have said repeatedly that violence and vandalism are not an acceptable way forward. But I will not grant you his company. If Elon cared about Tesla and its well-being, he had many, many options available to him that weren’t publicly calling all government employees and recipients of government aid freeloading losers, calling for judges to be impeached, telling people to go **** themselves for disagreeing with him, doing such an obvious Nazi salute that anybody else making videos of themselves doing it got fired from their jobs, trolling on Twitter all day, lying about/exaggerating his accomplishments, hiring a team of weirdos with dubious pasts that he weirdly defends, pretending to be good at video games by paying people to play for him, retaining his position as CEO of his companies while not performing the role, insulting a significant portion of his original customer base, etc.

Whether you agree with all of these bullet points or think he’d be wrong for doing any of them, these are not the actions of a CEO that cares about the long-term success of his companies and is committed to maintaining it. While I hope the violence stops and any employees potentially affected by any fluctuations in the performance of his companies find something stable, I am not going to care about the success of Tesla when Elon Musk has put his own ego and public image above it.

The left is free to protest Elon by not buying his cars or encouraging others not to to.

But nah... they set his cars on fire. His charging stations on fire. They make peaceful innocent Tesla owners like chop have to think twice before driving his car to downtown Austin.

The left is always violent. And it's always excused away by leftists

Elon isn’t only complaining about the vandalism and violence. He’s also complaining about Walz gloating about Tesla stock and people calling him, Elon Musk, a Nazi online. Surely you must see that Elon is not limiting his criticism against the left in the same way you are here.

Walz being happy about Tesla stock was pathetic bc Tesla stock made up 4% of his citizens' pension. The criticism of a governor gloating about something that directly hurts his citizens is completely justified.

Also, who appreciates being called a nazi? Thankfully, the left removed all meaning from the accusation by using it against everyone

I don't know who atilla the hun is. But i have a spectrum of Dems, Libs, Leftists, socialists, Marxists, communists.

Typically the left doesn't run away from these labels

That criticism is fair coming from just about anybody but the CEO of Tesla who chose to enter the arena of politics.

To clarify a bit, my gripe here is with Elon Musk, the leader and public figure, not Elon Musk in his official capacities. I think he’s shown himself to be a deeply unsettling person whose only real goal is to build himself a legacy, and subsequently has let the approval of the very online right matter too much to him. So he plays this edgy little character online dunking on the libs and straddling the line of some dark 4chan style humor while pretending any consequences for his actions in the economy or public eye is just some woke cultural Marxist PsyOp. He wants to have his cake and eat it too, not realizing that the reason the Koch Brothers and George Soros hide their actions aren’t because they’re afraid for the public to know politicians are paid off, but because it’s bad for business to be associated with controversial political opinions.

It’s amazing behavior

Then it’s some drama filled label when the behavior , which they have made accepted as norms, gets returned to them

There are leftists getting caught doing the same motion.

It’s hilarious you dramatically decry elons and some racist maneuver, but don’t see how hypocritical it makes you look. On IG there are literally mashups of dozens of them

Name one comparable situation involving a company owned by a prominent Dem politician. Yes, the scrutiny of Elon is exceptionally strong and perhaps even overly so, but this is also the person claiming he’s rooting out trillions of dollars of fraud and waste to literally save America and western democracy. You don’t get to cosplay as America’s Only Hope then cry foul when people make you the news and react adversely (not the crimes, the protests and mean words) to your policies/proposals.

If the "nazi salute" has the left destroying Teslas, maybe they should destroy planned parenthood buildings over Sanger's quotes.

eh...i don't think i or anyone else has made excuses for people doing criminal thangs to Tesla anywhere to near the same extent those around here have excused the January 6th rioters...even to the extent of raising Ashli Babbitt to martyrdom status.

Wait, so you think Elon actually did a nazi salute? Holy ****

I think anyone that destroys other people's property should be tossed in jail for whatever the law says is applicable punishment. Anyone! Everyone! It's stupid behavior that shouldn't be excused

Sorry, that was an oversimplification. I do think the right course of action was to acknowledge that his gesture was essentially identical, express the lack of intention and apologize for the unexpected similarity. Instead we got the standard Washington DC bull**** where you just bitch about the people rightly suggesting it looked just like a damn Nazi salute.
