Second ('Third') Trump Presidency Thread

I'm not at all concerned with people where evidence was presented they were in or are currently in a gang.

But I'm not you...

What about the evidence presented that indicated he was not in a gang, which was backed up by the lack of crimes or other gang activity by him?

Why? Was this one immigrant in Maryland the keeper of all political power? What next step in saving America from the tyrannical left was impeded by this one man not being in prison in El Salvador?

You can literally make this argument for even the worst of offenders.

It has no pull with majority of American voters.

'Lack of crimes' meaning that he wasn't caught doing anything?

Cool - CI's are not to be taken lightly. You can act like all criminals are identified and a history is created all you want.

I think you’re in for a rude awakening if you think the majority is down with sending people that aren’t actually violent criminals to horrifying prisons in other countries.

LEts have at it in 26/28.

They aren’t taken lightly. This man was in fact detained based on that testimony and went through immigration court system. But they’re also not ****ing arbiters of truth, and we shouldn’t be sending people to foreign prisons on the assumption that CIs are infallible.

I suppose, but anecdotally I’m not seeing a lot of support for this transition from removing the criminals terrorizing America to some Venezuelan guy with a tattoo amongst most of the conservatives I chat with.

The sell was never "we are just deporting criminals"

I know the left is trying to act like that was always the message but that wasn't what America voted on.

I'm not going to say the fact they weren't captured by a police force in urban areas that de-emphasized apprehending criminals as anything worth its salt.

Your coalition on removing more than the criminals and people who entered illegally over the past few years is much narrower than you think. I don’t think the rest of the country broadly shares my views on immigration policy either, but you seem to forget there’s a middle ground between permissive policies and literally sending non-violent people to prisons built for terrorists in El Salvador.

Sure, it’s why we have courts though. Nobody forced the Trump Admin to pretend we’re under siege and use the Alien Enemies Act to violate due process.

A majority of the country supports mass deportations. And as the economic situation and safety situation of Americans increase they’ll understand a big driver of that were the deportation efforts.

lol “courts”

Judges with spouses entangled in all types of money laundering and NGOs with endless USAID funds to fight for anti American causes.

Post constitutional period. A victor will emerge and run the country for a generation.

The world you think you live in must be terrifying.

The real world is messy for sure.

Plenty of reporting out there that shows this if you cared to look at it. I’m sure you think it’s all innocent though.

The types of people who attend law school and become judges being married to the types of people who get social science degrees and get jobs at large organizations is not something I need a report to understand. It doesn’t mean the judges are running a crime ring.

I’m aware you need a police report to proceed forward with any allegation.

Not with allegations, but it’d be semi-helpful when it comes to whether or not someone is a criminal we should imprison. If we just assume the courts can’t be trusted then there’s no limit to what you can justify. What if a CI claims *you* are a gang member? Should you face an immediate firing squad? The courts might be keeping you safe from justice after all.

My favorite new trope in the Trump Administration is answering questions about their own obvious ****-ups by instead taking shots at the popularity of The Atlantic.

Honestly kudos to Kennedy for clearing the impossibly low bar of just not sounding like an Orwell villain while firing a bunch of people.
