Second ('Third') Trump Presidency Thread

My favorite new trope in the Trump Administration is answering questions about their own obvious ****-ups by instead taking shots at the popularity of The Atlantic.

I like both.

The Atlantic is embarassing

Thank god Trump is protecting our streets from gang violence with these extrajudicial deportations to El Salvador.

Joe Biden spent 4 years letting countless numbers of people into the country illegally

Trump is going to spend 4 years trying to remove countless people illegally

Every action has an opposite..

Yup - The left wants us to play by 'norms' when they break every single one.

And now they are even protecting MS-13 gangbangers.

"Clog and Paralyze the system"

Yup - Facilitated by corrupt judges with spouses at non-profits funded with USAID money.

Am I missing something?

I see R+14. I think people over exaggerate the import of these special elections, but probably not the direction you want to see if you are R

Republican base voters don't show up on off cycle - Its happen time and time again.

Plus, what ever is left of the establishment has to understand the types of people that win elections region by region.

Post constitutional era - what the Obama/Biden regime did to this country is unforgivable

Actually, this is (inadvertently I think) a great idea this guy has. Given the increasing use of EOs to function as an end-around for legislation that should be done by the *checks notes* legislative branch, I would fully support limiting EOs to the next session of Congress at which time the first order of business is to advance that order to the floor for a vote. Allows for executive action in an emergency and forces Congress to act on an up/down vote instead of ceding that power. I’d be open to Congress being able to vote for an extension to the EO for some set time for deliberations.

more unforgivable than turn of the century (19th to 20th) when southern Europe dumped all those smarmy southern Italians
Greeks unloaded all those ass pinchers.

Or post WWII when Europe as a whole unloaded all those money grubbing Hebes on the US

???

that twas pretty unforgivable

They’re going to use the revenue from these historic tax increases to buy Greenland and TikTok while still adding to the deficit and cutting services, aren’t they?

I suppose the good news is that since none of these countries are actually charging these tariffs, Trump can reduce them dramatically by just pretending the other country caved by “dropping” their tariffs to what they actually are.
