Second ('Third') Trump Presidency Thread

Mistakes of this nature are unacceptable, even with a high volume of deportations. They trafficked a person who was very credibly neither a gang member nor a criminal to the Salvadoran government despite a standing court order not to deport him. People should go to jail for this.

He was caught with other gang members and a reliable witness according to the DOJ said he was a gang member. An immigration judge came to the conclusion he was one as well.

It's difficult to determine who's a gang member. They aren't going to admit to it and they don't have special decoder rings that say they are one.

He was at a Home Depot soliciting work and some guy said he’s a gang member. He’s caused no trouble in his time here. He wasn’t legally eligible to be deported and we booted him to super prison under these circumstances.

Like just drop him at the border or something at least.

He is eligible to be deported anywhere but El Salvador.

I wish they had this much passion for the innocent people who get killed by these POS than the POS themselves.
What a fucking weird take.

I don't think anyone has said "Nah let's let the criminals run free on the streets"

There's a huge difference between doing due diligence and not having compassion. There's like a bunch of steps that should and could easily exist between arrest and deportation. We already have failures in the justice department on things like murder charges and have executed innocent people. Why should we assume the same system can snap make the right decision on who the correct person to deport is.

False premise. We’re not all just pro-murder. But just as I wouldn’t imprison random citizens to stop domestic-born murders, I don’t accept mass deportations as a remedy to foreign-born murders.

So the felon went on a rant about how Nazis were so kind to the Jews in concentration camps when asked about Israeli prisoners held by Hamas.
