Only one of those entities is threatening to make my life more expensive right now.

But at least I’m glad to see the Trump Admin has found their footing on messaging around the tariffs. It was actually always about China, so any part of the cycle of him threatening, announcing or pausing tariffs can now be easily explained as “we’re actually just protecting the poor world from the evil Chinese.”

Sorry, you’re right. I was being far too generous to the Administration here. This is like if we dropped a bomb on every single country in the world, including one filled with penguins for some reason, not just London.

Stopping sneakers from getting more expensive is quite literally the reason Trump won in November.

No No No No - Trump won because he said Americans would have better lives. And when all is said and done majority of Americans will have more money for discretionary spend.

We used Microsoft Excel to calculate our trade deficit, divided it by 1 to account for elasticity and unleashed global panic. How are we going to be the good actor?

So you mean in a few months it'll be like nothing ever happened and the host nation will still be incrediblyi profitable?

Yes! If our aim is to increase our trade with countries that aren’t China, absolutely we should have asked nice. If you’re going to wage all-out economic war with China, you should be collaborating and cooperating with the other countries that could take their market share in the US.

I never thought Trump could get the left to side with the CCP over the US. Well, here we are.

Can't wait to see how well that plays out during hte midterms when teh economy is rolling.
