One of the reasons Trump wanted the budget to pass was because he didn't want to have the governemtn come to a halt when he was doing so many things to fix autopens mess. Don't pretend that wasn't a big driver.

In the spirit of deescalation, I want to applaud Trump and team for taking this step. We’re halfway off the ramp and I’ll even concede that he may have convinced other countries he’s crazy enough to put these tariffs back on that they’ll offer some concessions (zero tariffs, remove non-trade barriers).

The children dying in Gaza would be one such example, but I’d frankly settle for just about anything beyond the Chinese people that make our goods for so cheap that it disrupts American manufacturing.

The whole picture is the race to be AI/Robotics supremacy. Its basically the only thing that matters. Once its part of our world a large portion of suffering will end.

I promise you the reason Trump team is backing down is this massive flight out of US financial assets this past week. I applaud Trump and Bessent for adjusting their plan accordingly
The offramp was because Trump has to play nice with Big Tech. I hate it but again I don't agree with everything Trump does.

I’m concerned that it is.
