The people driving that +9 for Booker on the D side are clowns
I’m guessing it’s nothing but name recognition after his filibuster because the entire rest of the party (sans Bernie and AOC) is doing absolutely nothing right now. He’d be a terrible candidate, but nobody is doing anything on the left.

It’s a shame nobody but AOC has any fucking interest in doing anything. I don’t think she can win in ‘28, but she’s at least fighting the right fight politically. Dems really need to embrace the town halls and apply pressure to Republicans afraid to defend their party’s policies in their home districts. You can’t beat Trump on TikTok and from a lectern at the Capitol, you have to show people that you’re listening and talking about the issues important to them, not to political strategists and consultants.

Performative bullshit winning out over competent governance

Both sides issue

To be fair, this is more of performative bullshit winning out over even less effective performative bullshit. Dems at a national level aren’t governing competently enough to even clear this low bar.

National level?

How about at a state level? Local?

Where are Dems actually running competently? Should tell you something...

Bashear is massively popular in Kentucky, Polis is good, Moore is well-liked…

Bashear is a DEI candidate benefitting from his name and being in a red state. He is basically Bush.

Polis has some awful policies and the Denver is an absolute shithole.

Don't know enough about Moore from other than what you talk about. I'll take your word for it.

Except he’s a Democrat in Kentucky with like a 70% approval rating.

Yes benefitting from his fathers name and family wealth - Name recognition goes a long way in state/local races.

But its cool you like white DEI candidates as well. Equal opportunity.

But like RDS he benefits from a republican supermajority that does the right thing for the state. State houses always make governors look good.

You think a family name is enough in the climate of the current Republican Party to overcome the (D) after his name and gain overwhelming approval? Should we ask Ronna McDaniel for her thoughts on the matter?

When you're rich and have name recognition to get out the vote you can win state/local races.

And its always nice to have a republican supermajority in the state houses. Republicans, for the most part, govern effectively.

Can you help me out with some other current examples of this very common thing?

Can you find me another example of a wealthy family where the kid runs in the state his father governed?

This guy is definition of DEI. Got his first job at daddy's law firm too.

You are the one making the claim that with the right last name you are politically untouchable in a state-wide election in a deep red state during the past 4 years of Biden(!). If that’s true, then surely you have some policy-based argument important to Kentuckians for why he should not be as popular as he is.

The state house runs the states - especially supermajorities that can override vetos (which they've had to use during Covid because Beashar was a tyrant).

It makes Govs look much better than they are. R and D alike.
