Absolutely. He played all 3 outfield positions.Again, he played ALOT of CF before 2022.

And when there was a chance for a run down last night Ronald gave himself up immediately. Big steps to him staying healthyAnd only 1 SB <3
This is quickly turning into a silly semantics argument over the meaning of the word "routine", but I expect a competent OFer to catch a ball with a 75% catch probability. I suspect all of Harris, White, Fairchild, and probably Verdugo would have made that play..040 xBA
75% catch prob
That's routine imo
Who's feeling are hurt? This is quickly turning into a silly semantics argument over the meaning of the word "routine", but I expect a competent OFer to catch a ball with a 75% catch probability. I suspect all of Harris, White, Fairchild, and probably Verdugo would have made that play.
I'm sorry if that hurts anyone's feelings. Acuna is still amazing, but that play should have been made, and he's been a below average OFer for a while now.
As soon as people start arguing over the meaning of a word like "routine" they are only doing so to protect their own ego.
It probably wasn't "routine" but it was very clearly a play that should have been made, and I think "the play should have been made" is the point he was trying to make.
Anyone arguing otherwise is arguing just to argue...which is why they attack the word "routine" rather than the actual point being made.
Probably bc my premise is right - Acuna shoulda made that playIt's not a routine play. It's a play that an average outfielder makes 75% of the time. msstate incorrectly assumed the .040 xba meant it was an easy play. Not sure why you are trying to white knight him.
Probably bc my premise is right - Acuna shoulda made that play
And somebody here said he could have caught that just by backing up to the fence
Defenders back up to the fence all the time and jump up about 10 ft. You didn't know that's pretty routine? And somebody here said he could have caught that just by backing up to the fence![]()
Funny enough. That ball has a 95% catch probability and was a 1 star catch. Almost routine!Defenders back up to the fence all the time and jump up about 10 ft. You didn't know that's pretty routine?
What? Starting tomorrow?Didier Fuentes is reportedly getting the call!
Since he made a routine play, we won. Told yallFunny enough. That ball has a 95% catch probability and was a 1 star catch. Almost routine!
We need to be thinking about cards, reds, padres, and dbacksNola to the 60 day IL...The Mets and Phillies are battling injuries and laboring....the time to go is right now! This is. Perfect windows to cut it back to a manageable race.
