Sale to 15-Day IL With Fractured Ribcage

Oh boy this is a bad look bc he should have came out after the 7th. Fuckin Braves man. This may be the nail

In this instance, I don’t think you can blame Snit or anyone. It’s a guy giving his all trying to make a play and that happened. Just one of those freak things.
I think you can blame Snit. We all knew there was no reason for him to even be out there in the 9th with a 5-0 lead and over 100 pitches. He's 36 and has had injury problems in the past. No reason to risk it. You pull him in the 8th like most managers do and the injury doesn't happen. I appreciate the competitiveness Sale has, but as the manager, sometimes you have to not be scared to tell players no for their own protection. You can tell they didn't really want him out there because they ended up pulling him with 2 outs anyway.

Yeah but on the flip side Ronald wants to steal a base every time he gets on but they reeled that back for the good of the team and keeping him healthy. So the team should always put the team first. Sale has a knack for non arm injuries so you have to baby him to get him to the post season. With a lead like we had he should have been done after the 7th inning.

Looking like Didier might pitch Wednesday against the Mets, and then he'd get his first Truist start around July 1 against the Angels.

This is one of those 15 day stints that turns into 60 in about a week. 3 weeks from now, they announce he's done for the season

It’s 6-8 weeks.

Just because he’s on the 15 day IL doesn’t mean he can only stay on there 15 days.

Ozuna, Murphy, and any reliever someone wants, sell em.

Enscheff was raising hell the other night with extending sale for no reason. That was the dagger to this season.

and I think AA just took the reigns after snit's latest DA move with sale. Today, we finally get Olson in the 2-hole after Acuna. There's no way snit made a smart decision. Kinda shocked AA made a smart move too TBH

Interestingly, he pitched to two more guys after the rib injury. Struck out Alonso on four pitches, all fastballs, 94mph, 92, 93, 96, and then 4 pitches to Nimmo, fastball 95, sinker 96, slider 81, slider 82. I know he probably had adrenaline pumping, but that makes me think it's not that bad
