Minor League Thread Part Deux

Michael Harris after July 7th the last 2 seasons...
2023: .317/.348/.507, 128 wrc+, 4.0 bb%
2024: .283/.318/.506, 125 wrc+, 4.2 bb%

Doesn't look like bb% is important for Harris' success. It actually went down the past 2 seasons as his success went up.

Maybe he, ozuna, Olson, Ozzie, Riley, catchers, and Acuna are all about to go 2023 together from here out.
Ozuna isn't doing anything with a bum hip. But Riley has already started getting hot with a .333 BA and an .868 OPS in his last 8 games.

2023 seems like the last time more than 2 guys hot at the same time. Surely we see 4 at the same time soon

I think it’s idiotic that they didn’t have Harris in AAA 3 weeks ago when there are players there or on waivers who could give us better production and you could let Harris rebuild or reset. As it is, we’ve lost more games while allowing his confidence to crater.

Tornes has hit a little skid after setting the DSL on fire his first 17 games. He's now just 4 for his last 30 with 1 XBH.

Michael Martinez was promoted to the FCL at the end of last week and is picking up where he left off in the DSL with a homer and a double in his first game.

Ambioris Tavarez is also red hot down in Rome over the last week. But he is gonna have to get those K's under control and make more consistent contact if he's ever gonna be a serious prospect.

Something about Geraldo Quintero keeps me intrigued. I think it's the impressive power and overall athleticism for a guy his size (listed at 5'5). If he were even just 5'10, I think he would get a lot more notice.

5.5 and plays SS... sounds like what the current big club is dealing with.

Burkhalter going for Gwinnett today. Mejia, Burkhalter, Fuentes, and Waldrep make Gwinnett more interesting than Atlanta. Let the battle for a rotation spot next year begin.
I wouldn't be surprised if Burkhalter gets called up to the big club at some point this year There has to be a 40-man decision on him after the 2025 season and he'll likely end up on it. Being on it now wouldn't be premature unlike the promotions of Waldrep, Fuentes, and Smith-Shawver have been over the past few years.
